Successful Port With 2289
Since I havnt heard of a successful port with 2289 i would like to point out it is possible. Read on:
ok i found out you dont even need the games.ini you can just trash it and it doesn’t affect anything
I ported over Extreme Racers (haha cheesytoe tutorial game) and it runs perfectly ill copy over my games.ini folder. One thing i noticed was that in the info.plist the slashes are backslashes while in the games.ini the slashes are forward slashes for example in the info.plist it should be like C:Extreme Racers while in the games.ini it should be like C:/Extreme Racers/Extreme Racers.exe

Make sure you select the whole text (that you want quoted) before you hit the quote button.

so i take it that not only the Info.plist has to be rewritten like in the previous versions, in 2289 you HAVE to rewrite the games.ini file?

I just tried that with Left4Dead and it doesn’t work – I get the SplashScreen then a black screen and then it sends me back to the desktop. I double checked the game.ini file and the info.plist file but still no joy.
if you ask me, this build is useless…

I’ve tried a few games too, no luck yet. Maybe there is some kind of protection on it? To stop people like us from using it on different games? I don’t know, I’ll keep trying once I have more time.

well ive tried alot of things to get this working but im not sure what to do next…
if you didnt see i updated it you do not need the games.ini file also with gta vice city i can get to the point of the black screen but pressing space does nothing

Ive tried assassin’s creed again. My usual nocd patch crashes it. without a nocd patch it just asks for a dvd (yeah, I dont have the original 
)
Will look for more no cd patches later on (when my internet is working again, I cant download right now!!)
