Changes on our site, we might need your help!

Recently we have demoted a few members from the moderation team. This was done because the team needs a rebuild and the site needs reorganising. The next major step is listing the tasks that need to be done and possibly welcoming new members into the team to help moderate the site.

The team is sort of a foundation for the site, it should be some sort of a aim for the other members to be like the rest of the team, as active, as helpful, and as skilled.

I will now list all the tasks, one by one, that need to be done on the forum. If you are interested in helping with any one or several of these tasks please feel free to reply to this thread or to even contact me directly via a private message or email.

The (generalised) tasks are:

  1. Checking the sections that posts are in the right place, the same applies to threads.
  2. Checking for spam topics and removing them asap.
  3. Topics in the ported games section need to be checked that the topic title and description is in the right format.
  4. Topics in the ported games section need to be checked that the first post is in the right format, following the template provided.
  5. We desperately need someone who can post new additions to the ported games section onto the games blog. (we are working on a method of seeing threads sorted by date started)
  6. We also need someone (or several people who can post interesting news and updates on either of the blogs (Depends on the topic) fairly often.
  7. The topics in the help section need to be checked regularly that the topics are in the right format and that the people asking for help are helped as much as possible, or at least pointed in the right direction.
  8. Resolved help topics need to be locked and moved ( a new sub section will be created soon for resolved topics ) to keep the help section organised.
  9. The how-to-use-our-wrappers thread needs to be rewritten as most of our users are lost with the wrapper idea.
  10. The how to port your own games thread has to be rewritten completely and updated.
  11. We need suggestions!!

If you are interested in helping out, in just one, or several please either reply directly to this thread or send me or one of the other team members a message on the forum quoting which you would like to help with. We don’t require you to spend every minute of every day doing these tasks. Just pop in occasionally when you have time and help out, no pressure!

Thank you very much for helping us grow to as much as we have up until now!
Regards,
loco
