Well we didn’t have a good CX based wrapper for 10.6 … and Wineskin using X11.app (Xquartz) has serious drawbacks, so I figured we needed a new CX based wrapper, so I took it on as a new project.

I took the Crossover X11 and the Crossover Wine out of a Crossover Games 8 Demo download, and put them together in a wrapper very similar to Wineskin…  I’ve gotten it to work pretty good now, and it works on 10.6 and 10.5 (and possibly 10.4 if someone will test).  I have it up for download, so try it out and let me know what bugs you run into so I can fix them! (hopefully)

I started this project really by trying to find out how I could make my own X11 server that is good for Wine like Crossover has… I put this wrapper together doing that, and I think I’ve figured out enough to be able to build my own X server and bundle it into Wineskin… so thats my next big project I’m shooting for.
