Game Description:
In the fourth game of the venerable SWAT series, you play as a Special Weapons and Tactics element commander at a fictional police department. Using realistic SWAT tactics, you must command your four man team to deal with high risk situations while minimizing casualties. But this is not a game for the itchy trigger finger. You must follow strict rules of engagement, and shooting a suspect before he or she points a gun at someone will cost you.

Using a variety of weapons, such as standard assault rifles or less lethal weapons ranging from beanbag shotguns to Tazers to modified paintball guns that shoot pepper spray balls, you can maneuver the two man squads that make up your five man (including you) element independently or together, as well as get useful recon from snipers (who you can control through a picture-in-picture interface).

The game has a single player career mode as well as an Instant Action mode that generates a random mission using an existing map. You can also customize objectives for a single player mission. Multiplayer includes team-based SWAT vs. suspects games as well as cooperative play with up to five players.

today I’d like to point out to you that a new Cider wrapper has been discovered by Taeki, one of our many contributing Team members.

The Build version is 4003 and some people have already started with testing out its capabilities only to find themselves more than pleasantly surprised by the results.

It seems that this particular wrapper is by far the most compatible that has been available to the community as of yet.
Therefore I encourage you to check it out, test it with your own games and report your experiences in the appropriate forum topic:

I would also like to take this opportunity to express my sincere congratulations to all of you.

The past year has been full of exciting events and innovations and I’m proud to say that this is one of the most amazing communites I have come across on the world wide web so far.

Mac gaming has started to experience a slow paradigm-shift away from native and towards “translative” porting during the past few years – an evolution that I think is currently still in its infancy.
Thanks to this development, we have not only been able to free ourselves from the role of small clueless and industry-dependant consumers, furthermore as time progresses, many of us have turned into resourceful game porting experts who have proven time and time again that they are able to successfully take matters into thier own hands.

We have organzied ourselves as an independant community, we are passing on our knowledge to those who are interested and offering useful content to those who are in need.
We have also developed our own porting tools and we are constantly improving ways of bringing great games to the Mac OS.
It is because of these achievements that we are experiencing a steady infulx of creative and dedicated people who are eager to contribute their time and skill to our cause, enabling us to extend our reputation even more.

It’s the spirit and dedication of each and every one of you that makes the Porting Team so special in my eyes.

So today i decided to download freaky creatures beta just to get the wrapper but i found it was version 2583 which is newer then The Path and The Sims! Surprise haha anyway i nulled it i havnt tested it (i might later) but anyone want to give it a shot go ahead!

this requires a minimum of 10.5.6 but im sure you can use it with tiger by changing it in the info.plist

there is also a few new features in the info.plist

Surprisingly this game contains the latest known Cider build (v2376) – even Red Alert 3 has a lower build number.

Check the games section for a link to the wrapper in case you don’t want to download the whole 500 megs.
Let’s hope this one will be a bit more “comfortable” to work with…

Yesterday I finish tool. It can create game without Windows,
You JUST install it at Mac OS via Toll in our Cider Wrapper and Play without any problems!

With this tool you can:

Q. Does this client cost more/do I have to pay for Cedega?
A. No. We do not charge for our software. We have made a deal with TransGaming and there is no charge for our players to use the underlying TransGaming technology. You just have to have an EVE Account, no other payments are needed. You will not be able to use this version of Cedega/Cider to play other games as it has been integrated with our client.

This might explain why it won’t work with any games. But then again, dafootballer tested this build with the example game included in cheesytoe‘s guide! So even if it is true! Maybe there is a way to bypass it!

Anyhow, those aren’t the only new intel only games. There is also Kung Fu Panda, and Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. These should also be promising! Should be seeing a new cider version soon! Personally? I can’t wait!

ok i found out you dont even need the games.ini you can just trash it and it doesn’t affect anything 

I ported over Extreme Racers (haha cheesytoe tutorial game) and it runs perfectly ill copy over my games.ini folder. One thing i noticed was that in the info.plist the slashes are backslashes while in the games.ini the slashes are forward slashes for example in the info.plist it should be like C:Extreme Racers while in the games.ini it should be like C:/Extreme Racers/Extreme Racers.exe

Can’t wait for this, hopefully it will contain a newer, better, cider version! Allowing us to bring you more pc games on your macs!

The upcoming games are: Prince of Persia and Shaun White Snowboarding and these will be released sometime in march apparently. And according to the transgaming website:

Mac versions of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation™: Hard Evidence™, Rayman Raving Rabbids® and Petz® Sports will also be released at select retail establishments for the first time in March 2009

Looking forward to PoP coming out, a high end game like that apparently running in cider! Will post more once I find out more!
