The Nomad Soul is set in a futuristic city known as Omikron, which is a densely populated metropolis on the world of Phaenon, the second planet of the star Rad'an. At the start of the game, players are asked by an Omikronian police officer named Kay'l 669 to leave their dimension and enter Omikron within his body (therefore breaking the fourth wall). After doing so, players continue with the investigation of serial killings that Kay'l and his partner Den were originally working on, attempting to pick up where Kay'l was apparently stopped from investigating. The city of Omikron exists beneath an enormous crystal dome, which was constructed to protect against the ice age that Phaenon entered into after its sun's extinction. The city is split into different sectors: Anekbah, Qualisar, Jaunpur, Jahangir and Lahoreh. Because it is forbidden for the inhabitants to leave their respective sectors, each area has developed uniquely, which is reflected by the diverging lifestyles and architecture. Common to all Omikronians, however, is the heavily oppressive and controlling government, which is run by a supercomputer called Ix.

tested Game-Version: US Release v1.0

Minimum System Requirements:
- OS: Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard / Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
- RAM: 512 MB
- Video: nVidia Video Card (NOT TESTED ON ATI AND INTEL GMA)
- Apple's X11 must be installed
- about 2 GB Hard Drive Space required

Known Issues:
- Gamepad will not be recognized. But its okay to play an action-adventure with mouse and keyboard ;)
- The main menu background 3d graphic won't be accelerated. So its getting kinda slow if you set the resolution too high.
Default resolution is 1280x800 and direct 3d hal renderer selected. This is a bug in the game. If you start a new game the graphics are smooth.
- Some text/subtitles are overlapped.

Installation:
- Use Installer.app/Parallels/Fusion or native to install. Apply NoDVD EXE and copy Gamefiles to:
"Omikron - The Nomad Soul.app/Contents/Resources/Drive_c/Omikron/"
or
- Use the Wineskin Installer. Install Folder is C:/Omikron. NoDVD patch your installation and go.

Hey man, thanks. But I think the link is broken....
Sorry, ny bad, it's working now...
Holy shit, I used to play the demo of this game when it was new and ever since I've tried to find the full version. Thanks man!
Hi,
I found this as game files. Looking at the contents I was wondering if is a good version in order to play Omikron through Wineskin. What do you think about?

My hardware is a Mac Book Pro 17' (spring 2010) with 8Gbyte of ddr3 ram.

Regards,
Rorschach1982
I followed all the instructions but when I click on the icon the game start but show up a message "please insert a Omikron the nomad soul CD". It looks like I need to give to Wineskin an additional instruction because is not able to find that virtual iso. Any help?
I got it, basically I forgot to keep the iso inserted through the main OS...even the game is still unplayable, graphic is too dark. Any suggestions?
None of the no-CD patches seem to work.  I guess I'll wait for GOG to release a DRM-free version.
Is there a way to fix texts overlapping? Thanks for the port.

Well GOG have recently released Omikron, so... let the DRM-freeness commence! :D I hope I can get it to work with the wrapper...
I've tried the GOG version with this wrapper, but all I get is a blank screen. I've gotten it to work with 2.5.9 wrapper and 1.5.29 engine; everything works but the intro videos are upside down and flipped, has anyone else had this problem and know a cure?
