FIFA 11 reinvents player authenticity on and off the ball for every position on the pitch. All-new Personality+ sees individual abilities reflected in game, allowing clear differentiation for every player. Real Madrid Kaka will deliver crisp, creative passes, Barcelona Andres Iniesta will utilize tighter turns and close control to dribble through defenses, Manchester United Wayne Rooney will hold off defenders and strike shots from distance with pace, and top-flight defenders like Giorgio Chiellini of Juventus will anticipate, predict and react to offensive players to win back possession. Building on the FIFA 10 gameplay that won 50 sports game of the year awards, FIFA 11 introduces new Pro Passing where pass accuracy is determined by a gamer ability on the control pad, and player skill, situation and urgency on the pitch.

Personal Notes:
I made this wrapper from the FIFA11 Demo that came out yesterday. This should work perfectly fine for the full version as well as there will be little difference between the versions (other than content).
Confirmed working for the full game!
I can get 64fps max reached with an average of 40fps in game.

Minimum System Requirements:
Processor : Intel Dual Core at 2.4 GHz
Video Card : 256 MB VRAM NVIDIA GeForce 8800 or better
Memory : 1 GB RAM

Most Macs should work fine with this. Any decent Mac should be able to work fine ;) (Recommend 2009 or newer for best experience)

Known Issues:
- None as long as you follow instructions correctly!

Installation:
Drag & Drop, Double Click & Play!
[optional] - If you want to change the resolution or other in game settings: Secondary click FIFA11.app > Show package contents > Open "Config Me" (if Config Me doesnt work, then try going to drive_c > program files > and browsing around for fifasetup_default.ini) and make the changes there. If you change the resolution, make sure you make the same change in Wineskin Settings > Screen options

Excelent work!!.. i have a question, this port work with the FULL game ?! Thank you in advance
yep, sure will! all you have to do is change the Windows EXE path to find the fifa EXE file for the full game (since it'll be different from the demo)
you can do that by double clicking the FIFA11 wrapper and itll then open Wineskin Settings, so then navigate to Wineskin configuration and choose the correct Windows EXE file

Hooray, it finally works!
I figured out one of the possible causes of the E001 error - messing with the fifasetup_default.ini file. I realized that for myself, changing it to anything other than the default 800x600 causes the game to fail at launch.

If your still having trouble, try this.
Go into the wrapper and open wineskin settings > advanced > wineskin tools > winecfg. Click the Libraries tab and change all of the d3dx dlls to builtin, click Apply then OK. Try the game again. Still doesnt work? change the rest of the DLLs to builtin too.

hey, just Secondary Click the wrapper, choose Show Package Contents, open Wineskin Settings.app and choose install windows software (i think its called)

I have the same problem, it starts and closes directly, without showing anything.
Tried everything with the screen options and the fifasetup_default.ini, don't know what to do.
hm, can you run it in a test run?
Secondary Click the wrapper, choose Show Package Contents, open Wineskin Settings.app and navigate to Test Run and run it. the logs will come up after this and if you give me them that be great :)

good luck!
Thank you for answering my first question, unfortunately i happen to be rather obtuse, so i have more.

I tried everything and nothing worked. So i went through your instructions again, i installed the game on a windows computer, got the "ea sports" folder and copied it into the wrapper (on my computer). Double click the wrapper, still does not even start... What am i doing wrong?
try running the game in test run (debug) and give me the logs

secondary click wrapper > show package contents > advanced > test run

also are you trying to install the full game or the demo? if its the full game you need to change the windows EXE path as i stated how-to in the post above
Hi, I copied the install from Windows (full game) but I cannot run FIFA config.exe. Also, I tried installing with Wineskin but it keeps giving the "no new exe files were installed" thing and I have no idea what it means.
did the installer complete or did it error out and fail?
With the copied files, nothing seems to work, though I do get a fullscreen that is pitch black with nothing happening whatsoever. The installer just doesn't work at all. I can click on 'install' when the EA Sports menu comes up, but then it just crashes right there.
ive had that black screen thing before. your resolutions are mixed. make sure your resolutions are the same as set in wineskin settings, and the Config Me file. if the Config Me file is messed up (shouldnt be but it was for someone) then find the fifasetup_default.ini which is located somewhere in the installed folder inside program files. change the resolution listed in there to what you have chosen in wineskin settings

if this doesnt fix it, then run it in test run mode which you can find inside wineskin settings. for some reason that fixes it. if it doesnt can you post the logs the test run provides?

restarting your Mac after doing these steps can also help. good luck!
I've changed all the screen settings, but I'm wondering what the use of 'config me' is if it's an incorrect binary file. Also, there seems to be references to the "demo" folder of the game in the 'config me' so could that be a reason?

Anyway, it still doesn't run on normal, so here is the log from the test run:

the config me file is an alias to the fifasetup_default so people didnt have to go searching for it. it was there for convenience but didnt work properly for everyone for some reason.

also this wrapper was made for the demo but works for the full game just so long as you change where the Windows EXE file is located. (instructions in first post and a few above you)

weird, looks like the windows directory is missing. is it in the wrapper? if not redownload the wrapper from the first post and either copy & paste the windows directory into the wrapper your using now or use the redownloaded wrapper
Alright I've done that, now the test run gives just a black screen that never closes. I've had to close it myself but Wineskin has to be forced to quit. When I run it normally, the icon pops for a split second on the dock and disappears. :(
theres some wine processors hanging around still. you can use the GrimReaper app posted on this forum to kill them. then i assume you set the resolutions to all be the same? so try running it in test run mode. i dont know why, but this sometimes helped getting it to run for me after i messed something up. if it still doesnt work, post up the logs
Unfortunately, it still doesn't work! The test run gives a black screen but does not give a log. I've restarted my mac and tried it again, but the black screen remains, although there was a flash of white before the darkness.
Thanks!
