Game Description:
The Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood is the second retail expansion pack for the MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar and was released on December 1, 2009 in North America and December 3, 2009 in Europe. Unlike the first expansion this edition was only available via a web based download.
The expansion added the southern region of Mirkwood. The game's level cap has been increased to level 65, and the expansion included the conclusion to Volume II of the epic storyline. It also introduced a new "skirmish" system that allows for repeatable, randomised and scalable combat based instances that can be accessed from anywhere in the game world for 1, 3, 6 and 12 players and new 3, 6 and 12 player private instances that take place in Dol Guldur proper.
Tested with: German Full Game Client "Der Herr der Ringe Online: Die Belagerung des Düsterwalds"

I almost took down the links to the full client...and then realized that it was a free to play so I'm gonna move to the correct section
The correct section would be.... MMORPG, Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (these Games are mostly Freeware, but some need an ongoing Subscription) I think.
looks cool 8)
Haven't played this one in a long time.... got tired of running Windows

That's a VERY large DL. Is there any chance of having a segmented version so that if something happens, you're not stuck having to try and DL the whole 10 GB package again?
Also, it seemed like something is wrong if you try and DL the English package and get a speed that requires over 24 hours to finish.
Also, is the English client usable by American servers, or is it UK-limited?

I could not get the web-installer to run properly. Tested with various wine and cxz engines.
LotRO webinstaller (powered by panda media booster) starts but it won't download anything.
Download the full client installer instead or use the webinstaller in native windows / your virtualization software.
There are also many torrents available. Its Freeware.
Using UK / EU Client in the States:
"Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning Lord of the Rings Online.
I am afraid you will not be able to play the European version of the game from North America as this is a breach of our lisence restrictions. Sorry.
Kind regards

OK, I messed it up. I forgot to DL the Wineskin. Oops. So I take full blame for the confusion.
Luckily, I have a full install of the NA version on my Boot Camp partition. :)

OK. Drag-and-dropped, started the app up. Got this as a result in the launcher window -
Initialising, please wait...
[E02] No language files found.
There were no options for Realm or Language.
EDIT: Found my mistake. Now trying to get the display window to truly be fullscreen - looks like it's only 800x600 out of my 1280x1024 screen.

Mediafire does that sometimes. Try a different browser, or close your browser and try again. That usually fixes it. If not then you could try clearing your cache or using JDownloader.
