Crysis is a science fiction first-person shooter video game developed by Crytek Frankfurt, published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, and released in November 2007. It is the first game of a trilogy. A separate game entitled Crysis Warhead was released on September 12, 2008, and follows similar events as Crysis but from a different narrative perspective. Crysis, Crysis Warhead and a multiplayer expansion called Crysis Wars were re-released as a compilation pack titled Crysis Maximum Edition on 5 May 2009.
The game is based in a future where an ancient alien spacecraft has been discovered beneath the ground on an island near the coast of the East Philippines. The single-player campaign has the player assume the role of United States Delta Force operator Jake Dunn, referred to in-game by his call sign, Nomad. Nomad is armed with various futuristic weapons and equipment, most notably a "Nano Muscle Suit" which was inspired by a real-life military concept. In Crysis, the player fights both North Korean and extraterrestrial enemies, in various environments on and around a tropical island in the Pacific near Korea.
Personal Notes:
BIG THANKS to rynotheking14, who discovered, that the 4983 Cider Wrapper can launch Crysis.
I bug fixed his beta Wrapper pretty much and most of all fixed a save bug, that crashed the wrapper every
time you tried to get in-game. Now it runs pretty good.
UPDATE, builded from scratch 5290 CiderX 1.2.1 Wrapper.
And thanks to Taeki, who tested this wrapper on an ATi Card. The sceenshot above was taken on his Mac !!!

Minimum System Requirements:
- OS: Mac OS X 10.5.8 Leopard / Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
- RAM: 2048 MB
- Video: minimum is 9400/320M on nVidia. 9600/330M GT should be able to run this on medium details.
No idea, what is the minimum on ATi, but on ATI Radeon HD 4850 it runs on medium/high setting in Full HD resolution.
- about 13 GB Hard Drive Space required
don't even think about running this on a Intel GMA Chip!
Known Issues:
-DX10 is not working, sorry.
- you cannot use High Textures or the Wrapper will crash.
- Antialiasing can make graphical problems.
Example: (thanks to Taeki)

- High Shaders are causing graphical corruption.
UPDATE: Fixed all shaders are working now.
If you experience other graphic problems, then you might have a autoexec.cfg or system.cfg file, that does not work with
Cider. Example of pictures you can get:
Fixed with updated wrapper. All graphical console commands (expect from high textures and antialiasing settings) are working now.
Installation:
- patch you install on 1.2 minimum, otherwise the game will not start
- no-cd patch your Crysis Insallation, then look at this disk image:

What's New in Version 1.1 (See full changelog)
- 1.1 - updated CiderX 5290 Wrapper. Fixed different graphical commands and settings
ok ive done that and ran the game for a while, but then my brother decided it was a bit lagy. so he put it into windowed mode. I have tried this > delete the game saves, where those graphical options are saved. They are in /Users/YOURUSERNAME/Library/Application Support/Crysis < i didnt know what to delete but if i delete the whole folder it makes no difference when the game is launched. by the way this is amazing stuff!

Okay then try something different. Go into the wrapper, go to Contents/c_drive/Crysis/Game/%userprofile%/my documents/my games/crysis/profiles. delete the default folder.

I will check this out. Thanks ryno!
Good to see we finally got this working, now I know I won't have to keep on working on mine since Cider is better overall with getting out of your Mac what your Mac can handle :P
I guess others perfect that which the pioneers started. BBC, it was good competing/working with you *Shakes hand* Hopefully some of our test drives paved the way to where we are now.
Drak, Ryno well done, I congratulate and salute you *Salute*

I had bought it off EA Download Manger, so when i try running it, it says "EA Manger is not istaled, and is required to play your game." Any fix?

No idea if this is possible. I have never used the EA Download Manager.
Probably a No-CD Crack would also remove the EA Manager Protection??
Hi
I've have this running on both my iMac and now my Mac book pro, can anyone tell me how to transfer my game save file between the two?
Cheers

Open the wrapper contents and start XTricks. I think there is a package called eadm. but I do not know, if this would work.

Depending on the version of my wrapper your are running, there are three possibilities of, where they could be saved.
1. in the wrapper contents, go to your game folder. there is a folder called %userprofile%. And in the "Game" folder there is also a %userprofile% folder. Both can contain the saves.
2. in your documents folder can be a folder called my games with a crysis folder in it.
3. possibility: go to /users/your user name/library/preferences/crysis preferences/p_drive
There are no other possibilities.
I hope this helps you.
