EDIT: I've made a new port, with ciderX. Its runs much better! Much better performance! You may notice that the first 2 minutes it do not run good, but give it time to warm up, then its fully playable!

In the first level, the lag spikes are pretty heavy, but the other levels it is not. I need some others to test its performance. (CXZ) Sorry for bad english..
Description:
No levels. No load times. Just never-ending action that doesn't stop until you leave the game! Tony Hawk's American Wasteland gives you - for the first time ever in a Hawk game - the freedom to skate, or bike, throughout a rich, expansive open environment. Once you arrive in Los Angeles, the vast city that gave birth to skate culture, the sky's the limit as you progress through the Wasteland story and choose missions that will have you immersed in the action without ever skating the same line twice! Known issues:
The lag spikes. Maybe its just my computer Edit: The CiderX port prevented that.
The ciderX port, when you launch it, there is just black screen, just press space a couple times!
Installation:
The ciderX port comes in a 7zip. The unarchiver extract its good.
First install the game in another folder, not in the wrapper! When your game is installed, open its location, and find
the folder called data. Place the "data" folder in the wrappers C drive, then aspyr, then THAW, then Game. Place the data folder in: c_drive/Program Files/Aspyr/THAW/Game.
Then run the game. . When your done, press save settings and quit. Then you go to the wrapper contents, and delete the info.plist, and rename the info2.plist to info.plist. Then run the game! (and again a little menu pops up, you can choose you custom screen resolution. When you wanna play the game, press the "Patch and play" button.
In the CiderX version, when you run it, a menu comes up. Run the option: Launch me first. Then set you screen resolution, and your controls in the control tab. Then quit. Now Launch the second for a custom screen resolution, then press quit (optional). Then run the THAW!
Thats the instructions for the older port.

Becuase, what you're doing right is launching the game via CXeX, which is pretty slow. You gotta launch the game with the cider wrapper. The play button should do that.. But, apparently not

Yes, I did. I copied the data folder into the wrapper, then I started the wrapper and clicked 'Launch me first'. Then, for a moment the icon of the installation app (you know, this one) pops up and disappears immediately. Also, an alias of my desktop is placed on my desktop, very strange.
I have no choice but force quitting the wrapper. From then on, my CPU jumps to 100% and I can't see what process its working on in the activity monitor. So, that's a bit of a bug ^^ Got any solutions?

My question is how can i install it?
i download the game, but when I do that, all i get are a bunch of blank files and stuff so all im asking is what did you use to install the game on a mac?
could you show me a link on the basics for installing windows games on mac and what not? i understand crossover but thaw isn't on the list.

Best advice is to install the game in Windows (you can do that using a virtual machine). After you've installed the game in Windows you can follow the instructions in the video.
ok so if i install it in bootcamp, it will still be on the mac version? or do i need bring it over to os x?
Yes, you need to copy the installed directory to OS X.
If i don't want to set up bootcamp, is there any other ways of installing it while on os x.
Yes, you can use VirtualBox to set up a virtual machine. It's free to download.

I download a torrent @ thepiratebay. Just a PC game.
First I extract all 5 CD's to .bin
Then i extract all bin's.
After that i extracted all maps called data1 data2 ... data5 and data1-1 data 1-2 ... data 1-4.
Placed it into the wrap stuff.
But my first startup screen wont come.
I had 2 add's popped up. but after that no key binding stuff.
Help please.

I installed my THAW game on a Windows laptop, copied the data folder to the wrapper and launched the wrapper. That's just working fine. But when I select to 'Launch me first' I get a spinning beach ball of death and a I have to force quit the wrapper. The same occurs when I select 'Launch me second'. When I select one of those two options, a second icon pops up in the dock for a seoncd and then quits itself.
'Play' works, but on a very low resolution and the game lags a lot (around 18 fps).
How can I solve this? Thank you once again!
