Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent is the fourth installment in the Splinter Cell series of video games developed and published by Ubisoft. The two versions of the game feature different plot lines. They share many of the same locations, but with completely different level designs and in a different order.
Shortly after the events of Chaos Theory, Sam Fisher must deal with the recent loss of his daughter to a drunk driving accident. But he has little time to mourn, he soon has to go on an undercover assignment which requires him to pose as a criminal in order to infiltrate a terrorist group based in the United States. This new mission forces Fisher into a new and very dangerous gray area, where the line between right and wrong is blurred even beyond what Fisher is used to, and thousands of innocent lives are in the balance.

Personal Notes:
This is my favorite Splinter Cell game since Chaos Theory, and probably one that I enjoyed most. The one I have tried isn't a downloaded one, but a "legally"acquired one that came with a magazine. I suppose other versions running with cracks will work. Also, I will upload both .ini files so that you can run the game on widescreen at 1280 x 800 resolution. The game goes like silk on my ATI 2600, and the game looks fantastic, although the load times are quite extense and there are some texture popouts here and there. I wanted people to enjoy this game as much as I did (and do), without having to reboot onto a PC partition thanks to wineskin ;).

System Requirements:
RAM: 1 GB
Video Card: DirectX 9.0c-compliant, Shader 3.0-enabled 128 MB video card (256 MB recommended) (see supported list*)
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c-compatible (EAX" recommended) - PC audio solution containing Dolby Digital Live required for Dolby Digital audio.
DirectX Version: 9.0c or higher (9.0c included on disc)
Hard Drive Space: 8 GB
Peripherals Supported: Mouse, keyboard
OS: I've tried 10.6, but I haven't with previous Snow Leopard or Tiger versions.

Known Issues:
As I mentioned on my personal notes, there are texture popouts and Sam's goggles somehow get misplaced at times, but nothing else.

Installation:
Copy your game files into C:/Program Files/Ubisoft/Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent

If you want to run it on widescreen, copy and paste SplinterCell4.ini and SplinterCell4User.ini I have included in the link and drag it to the System folder on SCDA-Offline in the Splinter Cell Double Agent folder.

I will try this out.
I did and got a crash :(

I'm a bit curious why you didn't use the newest WineskinEngine.bundles. You have the WS5b3 and the latest version is now WS7...there's some huge advances regarding XRANDR and dual monitor support and a whole lot of other improvements between the engines.

Another thing I noticed, you forgot to put the game name and title in so it displays as the stock Wineskin wrapper.

That's a real bummer :/... well, I will try the game on the newest engine and upload the updated version, but I still can't figure out why you got that crash...

EDIT_:
Wait, did you open the game by launching SplinterCell4.exe? If you launch it through there, it will crash, but if you launch SCDALauncher.exe, it won't, I don't know why
Ok, I reuploaded the wrapper and the version is now the latest. For all of you who had problems with the other one. If it crashes at first after the game loads completely, open it again, probably the game won't crash anymore.
Hey,

Great upload it runs very smoothly but one thing. The textures are really messed up. I can see the head of Sam Fischer but the rest of his body is black stripes and lines. Also the environment consists partly of black stripes and lines. So for me that makes the game unplayable. I already tried to set the graphics low. But that doesn't get rid of the stripes and lines. But it runs smoothly so i don't think it has anything do to with my requirements of my macbook.

I hope somebody can help me with this problem.

To be able to determine this problem you will help me a lot by telling me what video card you are using. If it's an ATI, maybe the game is damaged or something and the textures or shaders are missing. If you're using and Nvidia and it only happens on your type of vid card, then it might possibly be a card problem. You could also reinstall the game, that might help
I have a Nvidia GeForce 9400m 256 ram videocard. But at the install i chose not to install the high resolution textures, maybe that's the problem ;)

Edit: I have re-installed the game (with the high res textures, 11 gb in total) and i set all the graphics to the highest but i still got the black stripes and lines.... So help will be much appreciated ;)

Ok, thanks a lot for that. Either that's a video card glitch (which in that case, I'll put RED next to the Nvidia title), or it's just a random error that can be fixed. After doing some research, I found someone with that same NVidia who had a glitch similar to yours. Either the update might solve it (http://www.megagames...h?tab=downloads), or you might have not the latest Nvidia Driver. Just to make sure, go look for updates on the Software Update application, or go to this site: http://www.nvidia.co...ject/quadro-mac ... river.html

Nvidia will be RED until that problem gets fixed.
Hey thanks for the tips. But still it doesn't work... i can't install the patch probably because he is US version only (and i got my game in The Netherlands). And i couldn't install the driver, probably because he is already up-to-date. (my software update couldn't find anything either so...)

So the game still doesn't work probably for me. But still thanks for the upload and maybe we still can find something that fixes it.
Thanks buddy, it's much appreciated! Works fine for me :-)
hey guys,

downloaded the wrapper, installed double agent with high definition textures on my mac mini with nvidia 9400m, applied 1.02 patch and tried to run the game. sam fisher's body was broken, ok. tried the widescreen 'patch' and i could not start the game anymore...assert failure on some .h file....tried again without the widescreen files and tried different graphics configurations and after some tweaking i was able to get the graphics working ok.

so, my current definitions are:

HDR Rendering: Off
High Quality Soft Shadows: On
Anitrosopic Filtering - 8x
Shadown Resolution - Low
Trilinear Filtering - On
High Quality Textures - On
Vertical Sync - On
Hardware Shadow Mapping - On
Environment Detail - Low
High Detail Shadow - On
Antialiasing - 2x

but i think sam's body problem is directly connected to disabled antialiasing but YMMV,

please test it to see if we can remove the RED status up there.

i still have to tweak my definitions a bit more because i have problem seeing close red laser beams (small translucent things) against a white background...in training course A...strange...

thank you
Hi! Thanks for the port but I have a problem --'

When I launch the game, everything seems to work but after the Ubisoft and Tom clancy's logo the game crashes... It says that splintercell4.exe encountered a serious problem and has to quit.

Please help me :)
I would like to ask, what Winetricks commands did you use, and what else did you do to configure this wrapper? I'd just like to know, I intend on porting it myself. I don't mean any offense.
:Yahoo!: Ok well now I used the latest engine (1.3.30) to port this. Installed some stuff like PhysX (In the game CD) and vcrun2005 and some other stuff (did some googling but don't know if it's necessary) and now it more or less works like a charm. :D YAY
gotta try this out
