Colin McRae: DIRT is the most diverse and exhilarating off-road racing experience ever with sensational gravel, mud and dirt events the world over. Events include the series' intense point-to-point races and takes players further off-road than ever before.
Race in challenging heavyweight 850bhp cars, drifting on the loose gravel and high-speed blind corners of Hill Climb events along perilous cliff edges. All 12.4 miles of the world famous Pikes Peak International is included, with over 150 precarious turns to negotiate through the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

How about engaging in multiple car races with Dakar-style trucks and super-powered 4x4s on the toughest desert terrain in Rally Raid competitions? Then there are Rally Cross events, switching between dirt and road racing, where the competition is always tight, fast and collisions with your opponents are inevitable. Colin McRae: DIRT also offers a dedicated mode for European, International and Global rally championships featuring official 2WD, 4WD, Classic and RWD rally cars.

Colin McRae: DIRT delivers the wheel-screaming exhilaration of off-road racing with the next generation of the series' sublime car handling and physics system and a devastating new damage engine that ensures players experience every bump in the track, every loose rock, every inch of shifting dirt through the reactive environments.

With an incredible range of off-road vehicles, thrill-packed tracks, modes that make the most of online multiplayer, and more varied events than any other single-championship rally game, Colin McRae is a bigger, faster, wilder racing experience.

Simply one of the best Rally-Games so far!

Personal Notes:
It is done. Now it`s possible to play this great Rally-Game on OSX.
Finally i got it runnin' flawlessly @1440x900 on upper mid details on my MBP late2010.
Would be great if you can test it for your system to give me a feedback.

Minimum System Requirements:
- OS: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (10.6.3 or higher)
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
- RAM: 2048 MB or better 4096 MB
- Video: nVidia GT330M, 9xxx  Series or AMD 3xxx or 4xxx Series Video Card recommended
- Apple's X11 must be installed
- about 11 GB Hard Drive Space required

Known Issues:
- the Build-In support for the Xbox 360 Controller doesn`t work. But you easily can configure the controller in the game-options.

Installation:
- Step 1: Patch your Game first to version 1.21 then to 1.22 which removes the CD-Check (Link to the required Patches below..)

- Step 2: Copy your "DIRT" - Folder to the Wrappers c-drive. (Detailed informations see the README enclosed to the Wrapper)

First of all: thank you for your feedback.
so your system isn't fast enough to handle it?! - I thought a 9600M should handle it easily. Maybe not on mid or high details but it should run quite well.
Hmm i`ll see if i can speed it up a bit ...
I'll be grateful for any idea given to me.

greets

Thanks.
Two Worlds II is almost done. I got it running very smooth, but there are some issues with the activation of the game.
But i think it would be ready to release soon.
a speedup would be great. Runs allmost playable on my mb pro 9400m

As i said, ill take ake a look if it`s possible too make it run quite faster.
But the Cider 3745 Engine already is a fairly fast one. Maybe I´ll try out some other registry settings or take a look at some newer engines.
And of course don't forget that Dirt is a very graphic intense game, but well see..

greets
works great thanks
Of course I know, it's not on wine ! ;)
I didn't said you did a bad work, no ! I just wanted to tell you that i may post in the future some settings for the codemasters engine (also for toca and race driver grid) !
For instance, blur or hdr to false is really better !
It's a real "miracle" to run such games (Crysis!) on Mac without emulator and at relatively playable speeds ! :)

Thank you for the time you took porting DIRT ! :)

I know that you did not mean any harm. What I tried to say is that i`ll see whats possible.
But unfortunately i'm not really a professional so i did not know what finally comes out :D
And i'm definitely grateful for your feedback.

Once i`ll find a little time the next days I'll take a look at it.

friendly greets from Germany
Zelito, wich theme do you use on your mac?
Black folders are really cool!! :D

(maybe is just a system setting tweak..)
I've compiled all the bits and am going to have a go. Thanks for the files and help
what about Dirt 3 ?  my few attempts failed so far using Dirt and Blur wrappers

dirt 3 will not work because of the directx 11 extensions it uses...and dx11 does not work in wine...and there is a blur wrapper on here just use the search feature
I know there is a wrapper for Blur.  in my post, I said that I tried both Blur and Dirt wrapper for Dirt 3 and none worked.
But thx anyway for your answer; problem was directX 11
