Game Description:
In the 24th century mankind has formed itself into the Federation of Earth, and has colonized several other planets. However, around 2350 a mysterious virus ravages the colony planet of Velia, targeting only the females within the population. They are transformed into brutal killing-machines, while the males are enslaved for use as sustenance or as subjects for genetic experiments. Having now evolved into an aggressive hive mind, the Velians turn on the Federation, instigating a brutal war.
The game begins seven years into the conflict, when the player character, Senior Sergeant Paul Armstrong of the Federation, finds himself forced to take on the Velians when they attack his ship.

Personal Notes
Interesting game…there has been fan fan based releases that improve on the gaming experience. First one I installed is a rework of the sound. The game was rushed when it was originally released and there was no soundtrack at all. At first I thought the sound was broken. I found the unofficial patch and installed it. Next was an enhancement add on that fixed a few bugs from the unofficial patch and added higher resolution textures.

- OS: Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard / Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard / Mac OS X 10.7 Lion
- CPU: Intel Core Duo
- RAM:  1GB
- Video: 128MB vRAM
- about  4GB Hard Drive Space required

Known Issues:
I haven't encountered any yet…however the options / display menu does not show all resolutions. Before launching the game right click on the app and choose show package contents. Now go to Contents > Resources > drive_c > Program Files > Buka > Operation Matriarchy > Data > Cfg. Open the Config.cfg files and scroll down until you see :

set r_mode_x 800
set r_mode_y 640

X representing the horizontal axis and Y representing the vertical axis. Type in your native resolution, save the file and close the windows. Now when you launch the game it will automatically launch in your native res.

Installation Instructions:
Install your version of the game how ever you would like (Wineskin or CX Installers are suggested)
Right click on the Operation Matriarchy wrapper and choose Show Package Contents
Follow Contents > Resources > drive_c > Program Files > Buka > Operation Matriarchy >
Place the Operation Matriarchy game files inside the directory listed above.
Close the folders out and double click the game to launch.

If you want to install the enhancements noted above follow the directions and install them into the game before moving the files into the wrapper.

If you have issues press alt/option key and double click the game
When the Wineskin interface appears click on Advanced tab
Now you should see a button on the bottom of the new interface that says Test Run (Debug Mode)
Click that to test run the port and click yes when it asks if you would like to see the log files
Copy and paste these logs to a site like pastebin.com and post the links here for support with the game.
