Game Description
Mirror's Edge is a single-player first person action-adventure video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) and published by Electronic Arts. The game was announced on July 10, 2007, and was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November 2008. A Microsoft Windows version was released on January 13, 2009. Mirror's Edge is powered by the Unreal Engine 3 with the addition of a new lighting solution, developed by Illuminate Labs in association with DICE.
The game has a brightly coloured style and differs from most other first-person perspective video games in allowing for a wider range of actions—such as sliding under barriers, tumbling, wall-running, and shimmying across ledges—and greater freedom of movement; in having no heads-up display; and in allowing the legs, arms, and torso of the character to be visible on-screen. Mirror's Edge is set in a futuristic dystopian society, in which a network of 'runners', including the main character, Faith, are used as couriers to transmit messages while evading government surveillance. In the style of a three-dimensional platform game, the player guides Faith over rooftops, across walls, and through ventilation shafts, negotiating obstacles using movements inspired by parkour.

Notes
Steam version used. I saw it was on daily deal on steam today, so I decided to up it.
This port was available on the old site (not by me), but it has been broken for awhile, this version is also slightly faster than the old one.
This is not the same port. although the old one was working pretty well too.

I made this port as a part of my testing for drakulix' CiderX2.0, so I've played the first chapter probably 20 times with different settings/engines/sys32 files.

The game is perfectly playable on medium setting on Intel HD!
On my GTX285 I can turn everything to maximum and still keep 60 FPS!

I've tested a bit with gamepad, and it works with x360c emu, but you have to set it up on PC and copy it over.

Video: any nvidia or ATI card or Intel HD300 or higher**

**Tested on 10.6.8 with nvidia GTX285

Installation
I've used steam version. You can probably use a retail version too, with slight modifications to the path.
Download the game with steam, this can be done with a steam wrapper or on a pc/bootcamp/vmware etc..

Navigate to the installation, it should probably be in:
c:/Program Files(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/mirrors edge/
Copy the whole folder inside the wrapper in c_drive/Program Files/
Add the files from the "Crack folder" that came with the wrapper into the /mirrors edge/Binaries/ folder.

Close wrapper and play.

If you want to change language:
Go to:
/Users/*yourname*/Library/Application Support/Mirrors Edge/p_drive/User/My Documents/EA Games/Mirror's Edge/TdGame/Config/TdEngine.ini
find "Language=INT" change int to deu= german, fra=french, ita=italian, rus=russian

If you have retail version you can put it in "Program Files" too,
but you need to open XWrapper and choose your mirrorsedge.exe (Inside binaries folder I guess)

Known Issues:
- Got one report that sound is laggy unless set to software in game.
(Not an issue on any of my machines)

I'll need to redownload and bring the files back over, but I'll try to do it sometime today.
I've posted the .log file in DropBox here:

Seems like the game is looking for some pr.dll and beta.dll. These are often parts of SecuROM and other DRMs.
Have you applied a crack to the game?
Retail DVD or other download services often require a crack to make it run.
I didn't apply a crack because it plays with no cd on Windows.

Should I add a no-cd crack on windows first? Or could I do it straight onto mac?

I usually test cracks on win first to see if it works.
If it's a simple drag'n drop crack (no patching needed) then you could do it on mac.
Added a no-cd key and it works. Thanks!

Glad it worked out!

Hmm, that's a very strange error.
What application did you unpack it with?
Seems some people have had trouble with some archives with certain unpackers. I use Unarchiever

i discovered that when i unpack the wrapper to my external HD (NTFS) it seems to break some how, also the app looses it's icon. when i extract to the internal disk it looks fine, them when i copy it to the external it gets the generic osx app icon again. weird, all my other games are there as well. But i suspect the NTSF format to be a pretty stupid format, and regret that i didn't use the regular mac OS format for this external disk.

I drag the "Mirror's Edge" folder (as installed on Windows) into the "Program Files", and use that program to change the path to "MirrorsEdge.exe" (in the Binaries folder).
However, when I start it I get an error message, after the splash screen.
Any help?

I got the same problem, but when I start the game, nothing seems happen. I already use the XWrapper to change the path. FYI I'm running on my MacBook Air Intel HD 3000 with Lion, and the game was from DVD.
Do you get the error message saying "Exception Raised" (as shown above)?

If so you need to find a no-cd crack (still Windows side: it patches the .exe). It should work after that (worked for me).

No, I don't. When I click the game, nothing's really happen. I already patched the game into 1.0.1, and also placed a no-cd crack on Windows side before I copied to the wrapper.
@The IGN review: Considering that they praise Call of Duty, I would have thought that IGN would love Mirror's Edge's so called "repetitiveness"!
Oh wow, I got the sound to work, by downgrading to Snow Leopard. Thanks for the wrapper!
