In the future, Earth’s appetite for resources has become a major motivator for deep space exploration. Immense, privately-owned and operated mining ships called “planetcrackers” orbit planets and use sophisticated equipment to carve out entire city-sized chunks of rock, and reduce them to component elements and raw ore.
When an immense mining ship, the USG Ishimura, comes into contact with a mysterious alien artifact in a remote star system, its communications with Earth are mysteriously cut off. Engineer Isaac Clarke is sent to repair the Ishimura’s communications array, but he arrives to find a living nightmare—the ship is a floating bloodbath, the crew unspeakably mutilated and infected by an ancient alien scourge.
Clarke’s repair mission becomes one of survival as he fights not just to save himself, but to return the artifact to the planet … at any cost.

Personal Notes:

-Works great on my MBA with the high details (except for AA and shadows)
-Finished the game, crashed only for once at the end of chapter 8 which didn't occur again.
-Turn V-Sync off, it causes mouse lags.
-I'm using retail version
-It's Wineskin 2.5.3 because mouse doesn't work on 2.5.4
-Thanks to Wolfangraul for his icon -http://wolfangraul.deviantart.com-

My System Specs:

- OS:  OS X 10.7.3
- CPU: Intel Core i5 1.6GHZ
- RAM: 2GB
- Video: Intel HD 3000 288MB
- Disk Space: 8.16GB

Gameplay:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/rUrzZrfhS2w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Known Issues:

-Some of the ingame text decorations are missing, this is due to a bug in Wine according to WineHQ.
-Mouse doesn't work in the game menu, use your keyboard instead.
-Sometimes upon opening the game, mouse doesn't work. You have to quit and re-open the game. (Not sure what causes this)
-In chapter five, you go under a meteor shower but game doesn't draw meteors so you have to listen the sounds whether if it stopped raining or not. (The place in the screenshot)
-Also some fire effects are not drawn by the game.

An example of missing texts, as you compare it with the Xbox version, inventory is not fully showing up in mine. Same thing happens at upgrade benches as well.

Installation:
-Right click the wrapper, choose "Show Package Contents" and open up Wineskin. Choose "Install Windows Software" and select your setup data.
-After it finishes, open up your game (apply your "things" before opening up of course)
-After you change the resolution, game will be cropped in the screen so quit your game to fix this issue, then open it up again.

Nice, but shouldn't this be version 1.1?  There was an older cxz port of this that someone ported....
will be testing soon
Alright, changed into 1.1

Edit: Crashed for the first time, at the end of chapter 8. Re-opened the game and everything's fine now.

don't know how to install, read desc but im a noob at this, i need help on the new l4d2 port as well, it's installed but after pressing play it gives an error, please send me answers
What kind of error does it give, what's your system specs and did you apply crack ?

For this installation (and most games) you need to first have the serial beforehand. If you don't, you need to have a keygen such as the one from RELOADED. I won't walk you through that because that's piracy and it's a liability to any website in this post-Megaupload world.

Installation:

- Right click the wrapper, choose "Show Package Contents" and open up Wineskin. Choose "Install Windows
Software" and select your setup data. In my case it's EASetup.exe.
Note: if you messed up the setup process, you will need to use the Repair function. It also doesn't hurt to look
inside your hidden ~/Library (Use "Go to Folder" on menu bar) and delete all Dead Space folders before you
start, in case you botched up the first time.
- After installation, right click on the game again to show the package content. This time you need to navigate to:
drive_c > Program Files > Electronic Arts > Dead Space
and paste in the cracked copy of Dead Space.exe from RELOADED.
- Navigate out to Applications folder, double click on Dead Space, and your game will load. If it doesn't, that
means your problem isn't with this wrapper alone.

I'm running this on a hackintosh. The game works perfectly (60fps) at 1080p with all settings maxed out, despite the missing holographic panels.
Could you tell me your graphic card so i can update the compatibility list.

And i wonder what causes the hologram bugs, must be a missing component in the Wine engine.

Nivida
the problem is, it won't let me choose anything when i open up wineskin, i have never used it before and im frustrated, just wanna kill some necromorphs >:(
So you don't get to see this panel ?
Spoiler
i do when i open it up but when i did what he said (it confused me, when i open up the app itself that wineskin thing opens up) i don't know anything about cracks or start up things
i feel stupid :|
