The Ball is a first person action-adventure game featuring a full single-player experience built on Epic’s Unreal™ Engine 3 technology. As a swashbuckling archaeologist working on the slopes of a dormant volcano somewhere in Mexico, you get stuck in a cavern. It doesn’t take long before you realize this is more than just a cave. You reveal ancient ruins that have been hidden from outsiders for centuries and discover a mysterious artifact, a gold and metal shelled Ball. As you progress towards solving the mystery of this amazing place you must unlock the secrets of the Ball and learn to control this ancient artifact. Venturing deeper into the volcano, you reveal some of mankind’s greatest secrets and you will start to encounter not just puzzles and traps, but also various strange creatures – the guardians of this mystery. These creatures have to be overcome, using only the Ball to defend you.

Personal Notes:Framerate is bad (10-15) for me, but the game doesn't feel laggy when I play. Definitely playable.Cider version would be nice, but there are complications: A splash screen (disableable with the .exe flag "-nosplash" though), A license agreement on first launch (Easily bypassed via the registry I assume), and the strangest, when the game is open there is a small window floating around that simply says "The Ball" (Don't know what to do about it). Anyway, even if it is possible it isn't for me :Ptested with skidrow

My System Specs:
OS: 10.6.8
CPU: Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz
RAM: 2 GB
Video: Nvidia GeForce 320M
Disk Space: 1.6 GB

Known Issues:None

Installation:Use the normal installer, and don't install any of the "extras" (udk, directX, ect.), and then copy the crack files into the appropriate directory.

What's New in Version 2.0 (See full changelog)

  • 2.0 - Switched to Thanaluos's WS build. No more mouse problems.

That's normal, after a few seconds it should work. Try letting it sit for a bit, if you still get nothing post your log.

PS just a thought, did you remember to apply the crack?
Yes, i added the Crack, Yes, waiting on WhiteScreen for 5min, NOT working

cheers

BTW, Has anybody with Lion used this port succefully?

I don't have it, and although I doubt it there might be a problem w/ this port ad Lion
