Sorry, Links Dead Advent Rising [Revised Edition]
Pretty easy game to port…needed a few reg entries to get in running smoothly, Some of the keys are a bit tricky to figure out but playing around and checking the controls in options will help out greatly. There is full screen workaround for this game. To get the game working in fullscreen you will have to change the FOV setting in one of the eye en eye files.
Specifically this one Right Click on the app -> Choose Package Contents -> Contents > Resources > drive_c > Program Files > Advent Rising > System > Mydefault.ini and MyDefUser.ini
No native widescreen support. In your Advent Rising root directory go into the "system" folder.Open "Mydefault.ini" with a text editor.
Change to your desired resolution.
Open up "MyDefUser.ini" with a text editor. Look for "Engine Input".
If you cannot find it add one like this...
Be sure to add the F4 command. The FOV you use will depend on your aspect ratio.
Default FOV = 75
16:9 FOV = 91.3154482287
15:9 FOV = 87.61661884
16:10 FOV = 85.2812718522
This version of the game has been patched with the fan made Revised patch, this greatly improves upon the original release by GlyphX and all information for the changes in the Advent Revising patch can be found here - http://www.miketynda...dvent Revising/
*The wine build being utilized by this port is the newly released 1.4 stable engine that was patched from source using a dinput patch that makes changes to the dinput.dll.so file. This fix only works for certain games and not others.
Testing System Specifications- OS: Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard / Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard / Mac OS X 10.7 Lion
- CPU: Intel Core Duo
- RAM: 1GB
- Video: 128 MB vRAM, (256 vRAM Highly Recommended)
- about 6 GB Hard Drive Space required
Known Issues:The only issues I've come across are the keys being a bit tricky to get get working at first…this has nothing to do with Wine or Windows but the way in which the game was developed.I've noticed a bit of choppiness in the videos, this may be rectified by lowering the graphics options.
mwo=force_edge added to the registry to get a full rotation of the mouse
