Please vote for the Quality of this Port / Wrapper, not for the Game or Application!F.E.A.R. Extraction Point Extraction Point kicks off where the original game ended – with a bang. As the helicopter which the F.E.A.R. team is on attempts to leave the vicinity, it instead winds up crashing. The F.E.A.R. team is thus forced to seek out an alternate extraction point, all the way battling the now free Alma and her paranormal minions across a destroyed city.
F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate As the first F.E.A.R. team and Delta Force fight for control of the situation, a second F.E.A.R. team is sent in to shed some light on Armacham Technology Corporation's (ATC) dark past. As a member of a secondary F.E.A.R. team, you are brought in to discover more information regarding the secret project at the ATC facilities. The multiplayer component for this expansion is no longer available.
F.E.A.R. Combat is the complete multiplayer component of F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon). F.E.A.R. Combat includes all the updates, all the new official maps and new official modes released for F.E.A.R. multiplayer in one free downloadable file. F.E.A.R. Combat users will be able to play against the owners of the retail version of F.E.A.R. as well as other F.E.A.R. Combat users.
Personal Notes:
This is a classic game that had many issues in Wine a couple years ago. Now the game runs very smooth in the new versions. This is the first game in the series with all components installed that includes both expansion packs, Extraction Point & Perseus Mandate, as well as the multiplayer game, Combat.
The main game and the two expansion packs are installed in the main game wrapper. The two expansion apps located in the game folder are launcher wrappers only, they are sym linked to the main game wrapper. If the expansion launchers are removed from the folder they will not work correctly. The expansion launchers must remain in the same folder as the main game. The multiplayer app is not restricted to the folder and can be moved about. It does not rely on the main game. It is a standalone app.
Minimum System Requirements:
- OS: Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard / Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard /Mac OS X 10.7
- CPU: Intel Core Duo
- RAM: 2 GB
- Video: 128 MB vRAM, (256 vRAM Highly Recommended)
- about 17 GB Hard Drive Space required
Known Issues:
This issue has not been appearant in this wrapper.
Slight graphic glitch on the trigger finger hand on ATI cards, and a translucent weapon issue on nVidia cards.
This is a known issue from the App db, as of yet there is still insufficient support for this problem.
Installation Instructions:
Mount the F.E.A.R. Platinum disk image
Drag and drop the F.E.A.R. Platinum folder to your preferred folder
Open the wrapper by right clicking and choosing Show Package Contents
Place the gamefiles in the Contents/Resources/drive_c/Program Files/Sierra/F.E.A.R. Platinum/...
Double click the app to launch the game.
FEAR Combat
Obtain a Valid Personal Multiplayer Key:
Go to this website: http://fear-community.org/
Sign up and create an account and log in, the account name you use will be your multiplayer handle on the servers.
On the right hand side of the screen you will notice a section that says "Need a FEAR CD Key?" Click on Check my FEAR CD Key
This will bring you to you FEAR Community Profile page. You CD Key is located at the top of this page on the left hand side.
Now right click on the FEAR_Combat port. Choose Show Package Contents, now follow this pathway Contents > Resources > drive_c > users > public > documents > Monolith Productions > FEARCombat > Key.ini …. Open the key.ini file and replace the 5 segment 4 number code with your personal FEAR Community 4 segment 4 number code….this is an authentic key and will be recognized by the servers. Close out the Finder windows and double click the app to launch the game.
In the same folder as the key.ini file you will find a settings.cfg Edit the resolution values in this file before you launch the games to launch in full screen without having to change resolution in game. Sometimes this causes issues and needs to be restarted There is a folder located in the main FEAR game wrapper as well with config files for the main game and the two expansions
What's New in Version v2.0 (See full changelog)
- Updated to Wineskin 2.5.9
- Enabled use of Mac Driver
Screenshots
Yes, the game folder has the main wrapper for fear platinum with sym linked launchers for the expansion packs....FEAR Combat is a standalone wrapper and can be removed from the folder without affecting it's functionality. The two sym linked launchers must stay in the same folder as the main wrapper.

Free Combat files can be found here - http://pdl.warnerbro...mbat_en_107.exe .... you will have to update to 1.08 manually though, most servers use that update but there are a few that use 1.07
if you want to wait there will be a 1.08 installer available soon by following the link in the Valid Multiplayer Key instructions.
