Please vote for the Quality of this Port / Wrapper, not for the Game or Application!Combat is realtime but unfolds at a stately pace. Players click on a combat option corresponding to one of your party members, which gray out for a cooldown period until they're ready to attack again. Spells as of this writing must be dialed in every time they are cast, using rune configurations you find in scrolls. Characters equip arms and armor through a paper-doll interface.
Puzzle solving and exploration utilize the freelook option, which allows you to alter perspective to look at the floor or ceiling, sometimes revealing items or secrets.
The Game now has a native version (steam, humble bundle, gog will get possibly later).
Personal Notes
For those who are younger: This is dungeon crawler game, you may have never encountered a genre like this as last of them was Dungeon Master 2 (1995), i think
Game run flawlesly on full settings on Radeon 6750M and is playable on Intel HD 3000 as well with reduced details.
This game will have native version in next weeks/months.
This port is targeted to players, who wants to play it right now and do not want to wait

FAQ
Q: Where are the savegame files?
A: inside wrapper: drive_c/users/Wineskin/My Documents/Almost Human/Legend of Grimrock
Q: Black screen after the launch and I have ATI/AMD radeon and OS X 10.6.8, what to do?
A: There was a bug in ATI driver which was fixed at 10.7.3, if you have CoreI5/7 CPU, you can use integrated graphics for playing the game. This little program can be used to switch between Integrated and Dedicated GPU (always switch before launching the game).
Q: Audio gets cut off after while
A: Try to disable SSAO (worked for few people).
Q: Should I request help here if I am using my own wrapper, instead the provided Julus's one?
A: NO! Use forums for that. I only provide help for people that are using mine wrapper.
Q: The game says that CPU does not met minimal requirements
A: This issue is affecting only new macbooks released 2012 and later. Version 1.3 fixes the issue

Ok, try this one and let me know results: http://www.mediafire...f6t5zkk93803f3z Installation instructions are the same

This one didn't work either. Is this an issue with ATI cards? The LOG forums suggest that's the case. Turning off anti-aliasing supposedly helps, but I don't know where that setting is on a Mac.

The same but slower to load.

Cannot see it being the ATI card as it all runs OK in Bootcamp with my ATI card except for some minor graphics changes within the Legend of Grimrock Options.
It is the graphics options within the game itself they refer to.

Ok, this part will be a little bit harder. On original wrapper (1.3.32):
1) Right click> show contents>Run wineskin
2) Click advanced
3) on the first tab (configuration) delete "-all" in Wine Debug text field and instert "err+all, fixme+all" (without quotes)
4) Press Test Run button
5) once you got into Menu, press exit game
6) when asked if you want to open log files, press yes
7) post me the content of both Logfiles (use pastebin.com, or personal message, do not post them here directly)
hopefully i will be able to determine from those logs something, that might help you

I have confirmed that 6750M, 2600M and 6970M are working ok, but those are mobile gpu's. You may also try to install http://xquartz.macos...uartz-2.7.1.dmg XQuartz, (wineskin uses some more recent libs from there. if present), but as always, it might not help.
Anyway, that is another example of poor ati drives, linux guys can tell stories about them

Well, I installed XQuartz and used this new wrapper. Same result. Thanks for trying, but I don't want to waste any more of your time.
edit: Re-reading this thread - I'm pretty sure I have the same iMac as minuteman104, but I'm getting different results.

Here's how I got my copy running...
First open the game while holding option, or right-click -> Show package contents -> then open wineskin.
On the wineskin window, press "Advanced".
Then on the bottom right click "Change Engine Used".
If the pulldown menu is blank, you'll need to install Wine.
Find a program called Wineskin Winery, and use it to install 1.3.36.
Then repeat to check the Wine engine used in your wrapper.
This may help, but I have very little experience with Wine myself.
And has anyone seen crashes when you get to floor 2? I get them about every 10-12 minutes, freezing the whole system with a reboot being the only option.

I have the GOG version and running a 2009 Mac Pro OSX 10.6.8, 6 Meg Memory, ATI Radeon HD 4870.
I get a window open, I see the loading Cog, then the Almost Human Logo, then just a black screen and title music.
That's it
Black&blue screen are observed when using wine version 1.3.37 and higher. Anyway. you have desktop graphic, and the issue might be opposite to you. If you have wineskin winnery, try to bump the wine version to 1.5.1, if not let me know i will upload the test version of the wrapper.
