nie job homie :P
U rulez Cluthz, you knew that? =P
I was just waiting to see if it were compatible with Wine before purchasing it. Hope they don't add anything that breaks this compatibility in the future.

The game still had some graphical errors, underwater textures are a bit buggy, same with snowstorms.
However, I've not had much time testing it and I do believe I'll manage to fix it.
OMG! Yes! Now I just need to get in the beta! :P
Although I'm not involved in the beta, I'm really excited that there will be a port available come release. Great Job!
great job dude keep it up!
awesome job. so i dragged the .exe in the c drive file but now when i download it my whole screen goes black with the installer in the middle and every time i exit out the installer restarts again

There is currently a bug with the installer.
Also no servers up atm, so you cannot play until next beta starts (the 8th).

I will update this wrapper next beta, but for now I cannot do anything about the installer, which is a wine specific issue, and not a issue with the wrapper itself.

Until game goes live I have no plans on tweaking anything perfect as it might change before launch, but as for now it seems that the game will be portable. I will however try keep the game playable in the wrapper as much as i can.
thank you so much for your response. Just wondering do you think it is worth me downloading the beta at this point? or should i wait till this weekend?
I would download now, and update the day the beta starts.  My experiences is that they usually deliver a small patch the day they start the beta, and even a patch or two during the beta.
i can update it within the wineskin correct? as in i wont need to download a different wrapper?

You can, but it has issues. It will most likely crash form time to time, because of the way the downloader is working. (means if you are downloading much)
This is a wine bug.

Smaller updates like up to a few 100 mb, should work fine. In worst case scenario you could let it update until it crash, then relaunch.
I've seen reports of people doing this on linux, downloading the whole 15GB.. With many crashes, still works tho.

As in if on beta day they update it will be able to update within the beta wrapper the program is located in

Hi I have a few questions... I've run the wrapper a few times over the past few days and every time it'll download for an hour or so and then crash. When I start it up again, it seems to start over from 0%. But inside the GW2 folder within the wrapper, the Gw2.dat file is 2.38gb. Does that it mean it's been downloading properly? Should I keep re-opening the wrapper after every time it crashes (hoping it'll eventually reach 100%)? And is there any way to run the wrapper but have it download in the background? (I've noticed that you can't cmd+tab out of the wrapper which is kind of inconvenient.)

Thanks!

It should be 15GB or so.
I've forced the wrapper fullscreen, because you need it when playing.
But when downloading you could open wineskin app (inside wrapper) and turn off force fullscreen
