Personal Notes:
Wrapper version represents the tested game-version.
Game is only tested using latest Patch 1.32 downloaded from germantrucksimulator.com
Download the corresponding version from here
Game is not playable on Intel Graphics. Not tried on Ivy-Bridge HD4000
Game will at default be English or German language
My System Specs:
- OS: Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4
- CPU: Intel Core i3 2100 3.10GHz Sandy-Bridge
- RAM: 8GB
- Video: AMD Radeon HD5670 1GB
- Disk Space: 800MB
Known Issues:
- Game crashes when running on DirectX
- Game becomes unstable if progress is not saved over a longer period of time(also an issue in windows)
Installation:
Download, extract and move the wrapper to Applications-folder
Open wrapper using right-click "Show Package Contents".
If game-files are present on windows installation copy/paste into Game-fold alias
If game is not installed, insert game disc or drive containing installer and open WineSkin
After opening WineSkin select "Install Software" and next screen select "Select Setup Executable"
Locate your installation-file and install the game as you would on windows.
When installer finishes it will ask which file to use as executable. You can use the following options:
1. game.exe - directly launches the game.
2- germantrucks.exe - gives you the opportunity to customize settings(can also be done in-game)
The next part is for both people using copy/paste and setup executable:
After installing open package contents again
Open WineSkin and select "install software"
Click "select setup executable"
Browse to the downloaded patch and install.
You'll get an error saying "no new executables found. maybe installer failed?" Just click "OK". It's all there.
Now close the finder-window and launch the game.
Congratulations! You can now play German Truck SImulator on the Mac.
