Awesome job hmtinc...:P
Why on earth would you port that? Even if you want to learn programming or just mess around Visual Basic 6 is horribly outdated, it's not even a real object oriented language.
HIPhish..Don't hate cause you couldn't port it yourself to take the credit.... :P Look vb6 was the best program and still is.. You can still create apps and run on any os out there even on mac osx when you port it...VB6 Rocks
If you want to create apps that run on anything just use Java. I don't hate, but no one should use Visual Basic 6 for anything anymore, it's just plain outdated. That would be like studying steam engines instead of electricity these days.

1 . Tell that to my school who still teaches VB . for some reason
2. We still use steam engines ; Its called Nuclear Power . Same concept
I think people should realize that vb6 will never die.. nor will ever will be.. If you create any app threw vb6 I bet it will still work on any pc and/or mac. Aslong as it works I am fine with that. And besides HiPhish this is my first port that I have done for a friend (Yes a friend) so don't knock it alright. you wouldn't want me to knock your ports, Would you?.

Edit: And BTW..Call me old fashion..I still use VB6 all the time.
Do whatever you want, but at least know what you are doing. THere is a good reason languages are being modernized.

VB or VB 6? The problem is not Visual Basic, but the version of visual basic. You're just wasting your time if you are learning Visual Basic 6, pick a newer language or one that has stood the test of time better, like C++. It will teach you more useful skills for working in a real-world environment.

That's a generator, it's the opposite of an engine. It still generates electricity, it doesn't run steam powered gears. The walls of your house are filled with copper wires for electricity, not copper tubes for steam.
Hey HiPhish

We can go around arguing about this but it wont solve nothing..You kocking my port because your jealous that I got it to work for a friend and you proble couldn't and/or could (who knows)..of course there are other version's that are out there when the time comes someone would port it then maybe you could add something to it.. or why don't you do it yourself...

Edit: Just a thought...Not trying to argue a point here.
I'm not jealous, I didn't even try because I don't see why anyone would want to use it. If you want to use it, fine, I'm not knocking your port down or anything, I just want people to know that learning VB6 is like learning medieval English; it might be fun, but it has no practical purpose anymore today. There just isn't anything to argue about, it's just not up to date with modern programing paradigms.

I just want to inform you why using VB6 is not a good idea anymore, you can ignore my points if you want. At least anyone who finds this port has been informed.
You know I was going to say something so badly towards you...But I wont cause its not worth argue or helling over the computer..I am  just going to leave it as it is..If you don't like it don't use it and if you like it then use it. You can't tell everyone what they can't or can do.. They have the option to make their own choice.
