A new era of shoot and loot is about to begin. Play as one of four new vault hunters facing off against a massive new world of creatures, psychos and the evil mastermind, Handsome Jack. Make new friends, arm them with a bazillion weapons and fight alongside them in 4 player co-op on a relentless quest for revenge and redemption across the undiscovered and unpredictable living planet.

Key Features:
  • All-New Characters and All-New Classes: Four all new playable classes including the Siren, the Commando, the Gunzerker and the Assassin. Step into the role of the Gunzerker, whose highly deadly skills allow him to dual-wield any two weapons found in the game. Not only that, you will build on that skill to do more things with two guns than you ever imagined possible. Dual machine guns? Cool. Dual rocket launchers? Of course! Dual Sniper Rifles? Sure, if that’s your thing! Want to try other styles? More tactical perhaps? There are multiple classes to choose from!
  • Dynamic Co-op online, and LAN: Share your adventures with friends both online and via LAN. Borderlands 2 features a seamless system enabling you to drop in and drop out of a campaign without ever having to restart the game. On top of that you can even take your new gear from any game to any other!
  • World Connected Story: Find yourself left for dead in the frozen tundra of Pandora as you begin your quest of revenge and redemption. Expose the evil surrounding the Hyperion Corporation and take on the perpetrator of a universe-wide grand deception -- the nefarious Hyperion CEO, Handsome Jack. (Oh, also: he's stolen credit for the opening of the Vault.)
  • 87 Bazillion...Everything: In addition to the new gun system, you will lust after procedurally generated shields, grenades, Relics, class mods and much, much more. And you thought the original Borderlands had a ton of loot!
  • Brand new environments on Pandora: Hunt through entirely brand new areas of Pandora that are more alive than ever! From the arctic tundra, through the dangerous grasslands, past the mysterious corrosive caverns to beyond, you’ll be surprised by the unpredictable world of Pandora at every turn!
  • Brand new enemies: A whole slew of new enemies are out there to kill you in Borderlands 2. Hulking, gorilla-like Bullymongs, vicious predatory Stalkers and the Hyperion mechanical army, run by Handsome Jack, are just some of the new enemies in Borderlands 2.
Personal Notes:
Performance is quite good, but there are some bugs

My System Specs:
- OS: OS X 10.8.1 >
- CPU: Core i5 2.53GHz
- RAM: 8 GB
- Video: nVidia GT330M 256MB
- Disk Space: 8.46GB

Known Issues:
The Launcher requires .NET 4.0, therefore is not working
The Options menu in the game is broken, it loses focus and breaks all menus. Avoid.
The only way to change resolution is by editing the configuration file. Run the game once, quit, and follow the installation instructions carefully. A custom configuration tool will be published soon.

Installation:
Download the wrapper and extract it to a place you'd like.
Install the game using the Wineskin installer, or move the files from an already existing installation into the wrapper. If you've bought the game on Steam, install steam in winetricks, then install the game.
DO NOT INSTALL ANYTHING THAT'S OFFERED AT THE END OF THE INSTALLATION (LIKE DirectX, VCRuntime etc).
If you're not using steam, replace the binaries with the ones from the 3DM CrackFix. DO NOT use Skidrow's crack (it doesn't work)
Run the game once, and after you enter the menus, quit with Cmd+q
Go to ~/Documents/My Games/Borderlands 2/WillowGame/Config and open the file WillowEngine.ini in texteditor.
Look for "ResX"
Change ResX and ResY with you resolution. For Example, for a 1440x900 resolution these lines should be like:
ResX=1440
ResY=900
Save and Close.
Run the game again. Have Fun!

I'm really new to all this junk.
I installed Steam in Winetricks, it skips it and says its already installed. what after?
Then run Steam.exe
i can confirm this working on the macbook air 2012 with a intel HD4000 on mountain lion
Same problems with the menu as described but works fine after tweaking the ini a little bit.

thanks for the wrapper.

edit: if you are on mountain lion and it keeps bouncing in your dock just wait because it is going to pop up a security window asking if you want to open/allow it to run.
i installed the following winetricks packages and got the menus working:
dotnet40
vcrun2010
vcrun2008
vcrun2005

i didn't test them individually so i dont know if all of them are needed but so far no problems.
I could change graphic settings or use any other menu.

It's gonna kill your performance. Much better to wait for my custom launcher. Having .net and vcruntime libraries installed for a bunch of text files is overkill.

Then run Steam.exe

Well I mean, after it said it was already installed, it put steam.desktop on my but I can't do anything with it other than run in terminal. How would I install the game with that?

Here, this might help you http://portingteam.c...-downloaded-it/
So I got tired of wine not locking the cursor to the game window so I made this little app that will. http://cl.samdmarshall.com/JaDN

Basically you launch whatever app you want to lock the cursor to, then tab out and launch this, select that app from the list, then select the window of that app you want the cursor to lock to. Then you press the Lock button. Now when you tab back in the cursor will be rest back within the bounds of the window so you aren't able to click out.

NOTE: Doing this requires some "hacky" code that doesn't just do this outright because OS X APIs do not allow you to modify cursor behavior in other applications. This app modifies the global cursor behavior instead. This means you can still get it to click out if you are spamming the mouse buttons while trying to go off the window. There is nothing much I can do about that other than say you can lower the OS X mouse sensitivity and raise the sensitivity in-game.

Also I built this in about an hour, so there are probably bugs, if anyone is interested in seeing this more fleshed out then maybe I can spend a few weekends on it and give it some nice polish.

NOTE 2: This is made for people with multiple displays, if you use multiple displays + wineskins (eg this wrapper) you notice some will not lock your cursor to the virtual desktop, even in fullscreen mode the cursor cans stray off onto another display. This app is an attempt at keeping that in check.

Thank you but one last thing, I have the Steam.exe chosen and everything, the guide says go and download it. I'm assuming I press Install Software. If so, what do I choose; Copy folder, Move folder, or setup executable?

This means you need to run the wrapper, and steam will start. Log in to steam, go to your library and download the game. you don't need to use the wineskin installer, this is only for when you have a setup executable

I have managed to get it running on ATI graphics card, but once i get to the menus the keyboard and mousedont really work. The move around but when selecting somthing it just does that error noise. The mouse is just the normal desktop mouse but it works for selecting menus. Another thing. when i get up one of the sub-menus its like its over the ttop of the first one and i select the one behind it. Any thoughts?

Alright its all sorted now. Its running alright but even on lowest of the low graphic settings its still abit laggy especially in close combat. my set up is -
  • Chipset Model: ATI Radeon HD 4850
  • Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
So any way to stop the laggyness would make it superb on ATI
Help me pls when i open borderlands 2 it closes again
I have installed Borderlands 2 with SKYDROW's ISO game, installation is OK. I copied the 3DM's crack in right folder overwrite original files but, when I try the game, it says me the the AppId is not configured(but this is warning) and says me again: "Steam must be running in order to launch Borderlands 2. Please restart Borderlands 2 after starting the Steam client." Any idea?! Can someone help me please!
