Fahrenheit, released as Indigo Prophecy in North America, is a cinematic adventure game developed by Quantic Dream and released by Atari for PC, PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Fahrenheit has sold over 700,000 units worldwide since it was released in September 2005,and has won several awards.
In this paranormal thriller, New York City is stunned by a series of mysterious murders that follow the same pattern: ordinary people become possessed and kill absolute strangers in public. The main characters of the story must uncover the supernatural forces behind these crimes. A good deal of publicity was generated from the developer's rejection of conventional game genre labeling for the title; Quantic Dream prefers to brand it as the first truly "interactive film" rather than an adventure or third-person action title. This game features a large amount of motion captured animation as well as branching story lines, split screen cameras and an interface designed to be intuitive and realistic. Event triggers in the game are also mainly time-based, as opposed to the more common player-initiated progression found in most games.

News:

The Complete Edition is finally released! :D.

1.1 is finally released! It fixes quite so literally every bug (that i've had), no more mouse issue (THANK GOD!!!)! It should be able to fix other bugs to, for everybody who had previous issues with the old version, try out the new one!

Thanks guys! This port just made it to the 4th place of the highest rated ports! Feels like a fu*king nomination for GOTY ;).

For all people who couldn't get past those climbing sections, i've finally released a 100% save! It also includes all bonuses ;).

There's now a fix for 1920x1080

I'm soon gonna upload the port with all these files in one, as soon as some error's etc. are fixed.

Complete Edition:

The Complete Edition is simply a special edition of my port, that includes extras like Wallpapers, the Soundtrack, Artwork, Avatars, etc.

It includes the newest release of my port 1.1.

It includes every file that i've released for Fahrenheit (like Res fix etc.)

It also has a exclusive icon :D.

And it even includes the demo!

So, it is highly recommended to get The Complete Edition!

But, to get The Complete Edition, you must Rate this port 5 stars and you must follow the port to!

I know it's a little ret4rded to do this, but, i put a lot of work into this, and by doing this, your letting others know about it! Plus, it only takes 5 seconds ;).

Personal Notes:
My very first port! So don't complain xD.

Playing with everything on except Anti-Aliasing. It runs 60FPS constant but drops down to 40FPS outside.

Report issues with the game and play around with it (changing settings etc.) and comment below and i'll add it in the description and try to fix it (if you haven't already tried :P).

Want to make an icon for it? I know my icon sucks, but whatever :P.

If you wan't to, then go ahead, send it to me, and i'll add it.

All work you've done (anyone for that) will be credited, so don't worry about that!

So please, don't reupload this, instead, just tell me!

And if you MUST reupload this for some random reason, then tell me, and credit me, if you don't, i'll contact portingteam.com support (if there is any, for that matter :3)!

Photo's below are not port (Mac) in-game photos, only in-game from PC and 360 i think, doesn't really matter that much though, looks pretty much the same xD.

Will soon make a let's play of this game! Youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/headshotprolol

If you have lines on the sides, you got A) A monitor thats 4:3 B ) You've selected a res that is a 4:3 res. I have my res on 1440x900, and its widescreen, sorta, i have the black lines on top and bottom, this game was made in 2005 people! It's just the way it was back then!

Make sure to tell in the comments about any issue, or if it works, and tell you're specs, so i can set the graphics card and sh!t to
"working" or "not working" etc.

Fix for res: No native support for widescreen resolutions. In the root game directory go into the "obj" folder and open "BYTECODE.BTC" with a HEX editor.
Search for the text/string value "1600", not a HEX value. The second "1600" value you should find will be the location of the resolutions. Resolutions that have only three digits end in "0". Select a resolution and type your desired widescreen resolution. For the resolutions 1680x1050, 1920x1080, and 1920x1200 use the "1600" x "1200" values. For resolutions 1280x720, 1280x768, 1280x800, and 1440x900 use the values "1024" x "7680".
My one was simple, i changed the 1024 x 7680 to 1440 x 9000 (the last 0 doesn't really count, but you need it, for all the res that normally have 3 numbers actually)
(hex programs will read file correctly, look at photos for the photo of how it looks :3)

I switched a while ago to a new monitor with a 1920x1080 Resolution, so far so good :).

I was a fuçking ret4rd before and said that 4:3 has only lines on the left and the right side, not with this game, it has on ALL SIDES, so every time i say "4:3 has it on left and right side", take it as all sides ;). But 16:9 and 16:10 has it only on the top and the bottom, so, thats at least right :P.

My review:

This game is for sure an epic game, it has an awesome storyline, awesome gameplay, even though it has QTE-Events, i still found them fun, so yea, thats for sure a great job, if you make QTE's actually fun, of course that all down to opinion etc. :P, but this is my opinion xD.

This game has a very deep and awesome storyline, and is very cinematic, it's voice acting superb'z, really :). It's one of the best i've heard in gaming, it has awesome gameplay, QTE's are actually quite fun, but the interaction is awesome, and the controls with the mouse etc. is very awesomely made :D. It even has choice's that will effect the game! Which is always epic.

Sadly, the only main fault with it, which is a huge thing, is actually, the storyline, how? The storyline is awesome, especially the opening of the game etc. Halfway trough the game, you can pretty much say, you've experienced the awesomeness enough, why? THE FU*KING STORY TURNS INTO A BIG PILE OF CLUSTERFU*KS THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY FU*KING SENSE!! It's all over the top, and Fu*ked up! I mean, they had a chance for like top 10 games ever made here, and they fu*k it all up! I'm not gonna spoil it for you, but fu*king sh!t. So yea, this game needs a sequel, where it maybe could improve, from it's over the topness and just make sense! I really want that, cause half the adventure, is amazing. Worth you're money.

8/10

Sorry for the really quick review, maybe gonna extend it later :P.

My System Specs:
- OS:    Mac OS X 10.6.8
- CPU: 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
- RAM: 2 GB

- Video:   Nvidia GeForce 9400 256 MB

- Disk Space: 4.15 GB

Known Issues:
#FIXED#Some issues with the mouse, unknown if it's the port or the game :P. I think it's the game. Because, if we say, you have to drag you're mouse up, it doesn't wanna do that at times, but only other directions, but once i move around in the game and my mouse, it often works again, but it's just some sort of "center mouse" or "axis" problem with the game (just my guess xD). But when i lift my mouse in the air and move it in the air (like slightly, you know, like everyone does, right?), it doesn't help.

This is a big issue when it's something you gotta do fast, like climbing etc. still stuck at a part with climbing, it is LOOOOOONG xD.

#FIXED# Resolution problem, the first time you launch it, it should launch in the same res as you're monitor, but if you change it, the max res might be max 1024x728, looking for a fix.

For some, it crashes when Lucas and Marcus (that's his name, right?) jumps out the window as kids. Working on this.

Try out the new 1.1 version to see if it fixes it.

Audio cuts and subtitles is out of sync when the FPS is to high, but, as expected, V-Sync fixes this :).

Installation:

The Complete Edition:

Drag the "Fahrenheit Complete Edition By Lazerz" folder to your hard drive.

Drop the game contents in the "Drop Game Content Here" folder (remember, the files INSIDE the game folder).

Apply the Update 1.1.

Launch Fahrenheit!

Normal/Standard Edition:

Step 1: Download my wrapper (both files), unzip it, right click it, go to show package contents (expecting you haven't installed the game yet, if you have already installed the game, skip to Step 3).

Step 2: Open up wineskin, go to install windows software, and choose "setup.exe", let it be, and go through the installation process.

Step 3: Once it's finished, go back to show package contents, go to "Program Files" and add the game folder there.

Step 4: Go back to wineskin, go to advanced, and browse it until you find "Fahrenheit.exe"(my path was like this: "/Program Files/GOG.com/Fahrenheit/Fahrenheit.exe" If this is how you're path is to the "Fahrenheit.exe" file, then you can skip this step) , press ok.

Step 5: Play and enjoy! :D.

Never the less, seems to be working for most peeps anyways ;).

What's New in Version 1.1 (See full changelog)

I seriously only just bought the game off GOG an hour ago after hearing about it today. So I logged in here to find a wrapper and see you've just made one!! Thank you! Amazing.

**Update**
I installed the game into the wrapper and its working nice with high graphics set. I'm running on the same specs as you. So far I've played until you become the detective and had no bugs or glitches. Don't know if you can get a widescreen resolution? My maximum res is 1024x768 but thats probably just the game's limit. Thanks alot again.
Thanks!!!! I feel like people are posting these ports right after I watch PewDiePie's vids on them, like ScribbleNauts, Lucius, than this :))

Bro, you can't believe how happy i am to help ya :D.

The res thing, it can just be you're monitor, i got no issues! My monitor is 1440x900, so its 16:10, and i got widescreen! But it will always have some sort of lines, either bottom or sides, 4:3 has it on the sides, while 16:9 and 10 has it on the bottom and top. This game was made 2005, so thats why there's no entire fullscreen/widescreen ;).

I actually made this because quantic dreams have made some great games, like Heavy Rain (even though i don't have a PS3), but yea, i watch Pewdie to, and watch the entire let's play :D.

yes it works on AMD cards I'm stuck at the climbing part and i think is the resolution of the game the problem
It works perfectly.
Thanks!
I have an issue, I mean pressing both mouse buttons does not work on my magic mouse, but this is not the worse. What I cannot find is what to press for the "Get Ready" sequences... I try left, or right from the keyboard, but I have left and right pad... Any help please...

thanks,
Serban

Great, thanks for telling me!

What do you mean? That the mouse issue is because of the res? Nop, wouldn't even make sense xD!

Or did you mean that you have a res prob? Read my fix for the res prob.

Go and change you're controls! Or have you already? If you haven't, then, do it!

The QTE sequences use directional keys and numpad 4, 2, 6, and 8.

I switched controls big time, i took down the sensitivity so the game would be more "immersive", normally i play high sensitivity.

I changed directional keys to WASD (movement and QTE events) and i changed the right QTE to be on the directional keys, and the left on WASD also.

Hope i helped, and you're welcome :3.
