Dead Space begins when a massive mining ship, the USG Ishimura, comes in contact with a mysterious alien artifact and suddenly loses its communications with Earth. Engineer Isaac Clarke is sent to repair the Ishimura's communications, but arrives to find a floating vessel that has become a complete bloodbath. The crew is mutilated and infected with an ancient alien scourge.
Clarke's repair mission is transformed to one of survival as he fights to save himself and return the artifact to the planet at any cost.

Personal Notes:
Final Part in my Dead Space trilogy port
what makes it unique is that this one fixes the hologram issue present in previous ports

My System Specs:
- OS: Mac OS X 10.8.2/3 Mountain Lion
- CPU: 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
- RAM: 16 GB
- Video:  nVidia Geforce 650M / Intel HD 4000
- Disk Space:   8.31 GB

Known Issues:
Direct sound doesn't work, I tried adding it in via winetricks, but that opened up a huge list of issues, so for now at least, you are going to have to use stereo.
I think that the hologram issue is also affected by the OS version, If you are having this issue, please post your OS so that I can confirm

Installation:
unzip file, install dead space onto a windows OS (feel free to try installing it via wine installer), and copy contents into wine wrapper, use "deadspace.exe" as your main program

What's New in Version 2.0 (See full changelog)

Everything works on my MBPR.

Really good job.

Now, it's time to kill the monsters from Dead Space 1 to Dead Space 3!!!!

Thanks a lot!!!!

Btw, i don't understand what do you mean "Direct sound", because it seems fine on my laptop.
changing the sound source from 6 points to two when your HUD messages appear causes an error that forces the sound to be taken over by stereo.

When I added in direct sound, the game got a fatal error when the HUD messages played, so I'm leaving it alone for now.
this has already been ported several times, this should be removed
please exercise some restraint before you criticize

now, had you asked "why did you re-port this?" then I would have gladly told you that these new ports have working holograms, versus the old ones where they did not show up.
you need to state this port is an upgrade over a previously posted version instead of pretending other versions never existed... it would also help to post what engine you are using

holograms not appearing was a common problem for AMD/ATI and Intel HD users, NVIDIA users normally didn't have this problem (at least for Dead Space 1)
I didn't pretend, this is my port, that I made, where did I say that this was the one and only port?
its implied... any information that isn't given is implied... the most important thing to do is give as much information as possible... you aren't helping anybody by being so vague... let people know in the description what you changed to get things working that weren't done in other ports of the game...

the presentation of the port as a package is just as important as the port itself
Hey really good job with these Dead Space ports, its great to see more and more games working on the Intel HD, I think I should probably remove my Dead Space 2 port from here, there's really no need. :) Wait, how DO YOU remove ports? >.<

thanks for the port, i tried the other versions and i couldn't get it working, but this one works, so thanks.
Upon launching all I get is one of two things:

1) A black screen
2) A wine error message

My specs:
Macbook Pro, 13-inch, Early 2011

Processor  2.3 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory  4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB

Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5

Any way of fixing this? I'm using a legal version. Is my graphics card simply not good enough?

no your graphics card is fine, if you cracked the game properly than it might be a wine conflict in OS X Lion, try the wrapper I posted and see if it helps
Everything installed and worked great until I rebooted my computer and tried to use it and then the application just shuts down... I deleted it and started over again and the exact same thing happened - worked until I restarted and tried to use it again.

When it doesn't work on reboot it just shuts down - no error message or anything.

Anyone have any idea as to what's going on?

Didn't crack the game. Would I need to obtain a cracked .exe or a complete cracked installer? (Don't worry if you can't say due to comment rules, sorry - relatively new to all this)

Trying your wrapper see if it helps, many thanks

The first one.
