Please check that your Macbook/iMac/Mac Mini/Mac Pro passes the minimum PC requirements for running this game before downloading.

THIS IS NOT THE FULL GAME, IT IS ONLY A WINESKIN WRAPPER. If you wish to play Batman AO, I firmly suggest you BUY it from the Steam Store. If you are unable to do so then save some money for it or obtain it another way at your own risk.

If this port works well, please leave a rating!

  • Chrome or Firefox must be used to correctly download from Mega.co.nz!
  • Use 7zX to extract the .dmg file. Open the DMG and drag the wrapper to your desktop.
  • If you are new to porting/using wrappers, please visit this page: http://portingteam.c...-downloaded-it/
  • IF YOU ARE AN AMD USER THAT USES OSX Lion 10.7.5: You will probably (most likely) experience severe lag. Please try and upgrade to 10.8.3 since wine does not function well with AMD GPUs and 10.7.5..
Batman: Arkham Origins is a 2013 video game developed by Warner Bros. Games Montréal and released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 video game consoles, and Microsoft Windows. Based on the DC Comics superhero Batman, it is the successor to the 2011 video game Batman: Arkham City, and the third installment in the Batman: Arkham series. It was released worldwide on October 25, 2013.note Arkham Origins moved development away from series creators Rocksteady Studios, and is written by Corey May and Dooma Wendschuh. The game's main storyline is set five years before that of 2009's Batman: Arkham Asylum and follows a younger and less refined Batman who has a bounty placed on his head by crime lord Black Mask, drawing eight of the world's greatest assassins to Gotham City on Christmas Eve. The game is presented from the third-person perspective with a primary focus on Batman's combat and stealth abilities, detective skills, and gadgets that can be used in both combat and exploration. Arkham Origins is the first game in the series to feature multiplayer gameplay. A companion game, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, was released alongside Arkham Origins for Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. A spin-off game of the same name for iOS and Android platforms was released in October 2013. Arkham Origins features similar gameplay to its predecessors.[6] New gadgets to the Batman: Arkham series include: the Remote Claw, which allows Batman to target two objects and pull them together allowing him to knock enemies together or hit them with objects,[7] while tethering two walled-points together creates a tightrope that Batman can traverse;[8] the Shock Gloves, which allow Batman to block electric attacks, instantly disable some enemies and stun shielded ones, and short circuit some objects within the environment;[9] and the Concussion Detonator, capable of stunning large enemy groups.[10] Some gadgets from the previous games return in Arkham Origins, including: the Cryptographic Sequencer, which is used for hacking security consoles; the Batarang, a throwing weapon; the Batclaw, used for hooking on to surfaces;[11] Smoke Pellets, used for stealthy exits and entries;[11] Explosive Gel;[8] the Disruptor, which can remotely disable guns and explosive mines;[11] and the Grapnel Accelerator, an earlier version of the Grapnel Boost

Personal Notes:

- The game runs great on the highest DirectX 9 settings avalable (even with FXAA set to High).

My System Specs:

- OS: OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2
- CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k @ 4.2GHz
- RAM: 16GB 1600MHz
- Video: 2GB MSI GTX 670 OC Edition
- SSD: Samsung 840 120GB

Known Issues

- PhysX really kills performance in the game, i recommend you just disable it.

- Audio in the intro video is very distorted for some reason. I'd recommend just deleting the Logo intro files anyway, this allows you to skip the annoying intro the next time the game loads.

***Go into the Arkham Origins program files, Singleplayer, BMGame, Movies and DELETE all 4 video files named "bac_logo".***

- Depending on your graphics settings, you may encounter some frame-drops, however the game still seems to certainly be fully playable.

Installation:

  • Right click the wrapper, show package contents and Steam Setup
  • Let steam install.
  • Once its installed, go into wineskin.app within the wrapper, next to the steam setup launcher, and click on advanced.
  • Change the 'Windows EXE' line to: /Program Files/Steam/steam.exe and then exit wineskin.app.
  • Finally, run the wrapper, steam will launch, sign in to your steam account and download Batman Arkham Origins.
  • Lastly, simply find Batman AO in your steam library and run it!

Now, whenever you launch the wrapper, it will sign into steam and allow you to launch your game via your 'Steam Game Library'.

For 'non steam users':
Please note that I do not (in any way) promote piracy and that I highly recommend you PURCHASE the games that you want to play!

  • Right click the wrapper, show package contents and launch wineskin.app, then select install new software.
  • Locate the setup.exe file (that is within the .ISO you probably downloaded, if you download a .ISO file, double click it to mount it!) and install the PC files by going through the setup.
  • -- Don't bother installing directx and vcrun if it asks you too. --
  • Then, go back into the contents of the wrapper, go to: drive_c ----> Program Files ----> Batman Arkham Origins ---> Singleplayer ---> Binaries ---> Win32 then drag/paste in the appropriate NoCD crack INSIDE the Win32 folder (make sure the NOCD crack works with the version of the game you have downloaded).
The last step is to launch the wrapper!
If you want to run the Multiplayer EXE, go into wineskins advanced settings, click browse and go to drive_c ----> Program Files ----> Batman Arkham Origins ---> Online ---> Binaries ---> Win32 ---> BatmanOriginsOnline.exe

Turns out the minimum requirements for this game have been incorrect on most websites, even on the steam store it seems.
This game uses DirectX 9, 10 and 11. However, DX9 settings are very limited in comparison to DX11.
ok :)
wow thanks Dan :) Again:)

try going to your documents > WB Games > Batman Arkham Origins and open the settings xml file with Text edit.
Press CMD + F and search for "resolution" and you should have 2 results: resolutionX and resolutionY.
Change the resolution X value from 1680 to 1920
Change the resolution Y value from 1050 to 1080
Save the file and right click it, get info and select 'Locked'. This will stop the game from changing your settings any further. Keep it unlocked if you want to change any other settings.
ok thanks dan :)

Maybe someone can help me, I keep getting oops no new executavkes found! Maybe the installer failed...?

If you tried to install somewhere other than C: drive (drive_c in the wrapper) then you will get this message too.  All software must be installed in C: drive.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME
It'd be nice if you could provide a little more information...
Are you using a non-steam version or steam version?
If its the non-steam version, have you made sure to apply a NoCD crack to your Batman Arkham Origins files? Also, have you made sure you have applied it properly (not just dragging the crack folders into your Batman files, that'll replace loads of content in your batman files with ONLY the cracked files, so don't do that!)
With non steam version, is it a specific installer such as BlackBox? For some repacks, VCRun6SP6 is required to be installed through winetricks before you run the installer, or else you'll get the 'oops' error.
Also, if its the steam version, have you made sure the download hasn't corrupted somehow?

if you have this error when you install the game try to use another wrapper to install the game, after the install, you just put the game folder with the game files into the wrapper..
help I'm trying to do non steam install it says disk is full and i don't know what noCD is.
