Super Mario Bros. X 1.3.0.1 is a massive Mario fangame that blends elements from Super Mario 1, 2, 3 and World. It has many power ups, such as the Ice Flower, Hammer Suit, Tanooki Suit, Kuribo's shoe, The Billy Gun, and Yoshi. You can also play the game with a friend in the 2 player co-op mode, where the screen seamlessly splits and combines as the players separate and rejoin.

This fangame is most notable for its extensive level editor that allows you to create almost any kind of level that you can imagine. The real time editor lets you edit the level while playing it! You can also create your own episode using either the SMB3 or SMW styled world map, or you can create a Mario 64 style hub level and have the players collect stars to advance.

A full port of an unofficial 1.4.2 version of this game is disponible here: http://portingteam.c...s-x-by-38a-142/

Personal Notes:
Only for gaming, I don't know about the editor
Disable frameskip in the start pannel for a better feel
To play with gamepads you need an external app as gamepad companion

What's New in Version v.1.02 (See full changelog)

it says impossible to open the app on mac OS X mavericks..do u know why?
sorry it says impossible to open the app...i'm on OS X yosemite 10.10.1
i don't know...it could be you had a corrupted download...Then, I compressed the archive with betterzip, try to use it  to unzip...
i've re-downloaded and extracted again...all good...but when I try to open the app, nothing shows up! Do u know why?!
no idea...sorry

Did you extracted it with BetterZip?

What hardware do you use?
if I use BetterZip it asks me a password to unzip the file....
Maybe I never tried to install all the Winetricks you used, but, however you did it, it's great that you were able to make sound working. For some reason, I was having trouble with it.
I've got two complaints, though:
  • The icon has no transparency (has a white background). Is it on purpose?
  • The app contains too many useless frameworks and dlls. If you'd take those away, you'd be dealing with an app with a much smaller size than the current 900 MB.

By the way, you may go ahead and put a Green light for Intel HD compatibility and AMD since they've worked on mine.

you need to click with right click on smbx.app and select "Show Package contents"

then double click on drive_c

then double click on Program Files

then double click on SMBX folder
When I open it I keep on getting a message that says X11 had a problem and it says "Failed to activate core devices." Any idea what's wrong?

Hey, Could you PLEASE make a 1.4.2 version? I would appreciate it very much. I tried it myself but I failed. It crashes when the loading screen comes up (1.3.2 works perfectly doe! Thank you so much)
