BeamNG.drive is a realistic, immersive driving game offering near-limitless possibilities. Our soft-body physics engine simulates every component of a vehicle in real time, resulting in realistic, dynamic behavior.

The driving feel is authentic and visceral, and crashes are realistic and violent; yet the physics are accessible enough to drive with a keyboard or gamepad while still being authentic with a full racing wheel with uncompromising realism.

Environments and vehicles in BeamNG.drive are hand-crafted with passionate attention to detail. With years of meticulous design, research, and experience, we authentically recreate the feeling and excitement of real world driving.

We are a small team from around the world with no obligations to publishers or outside interests. Our users and modding community are our first priority. Help us make BeamNG.drive the ultimate driving experience and discover what an open and uncompromising soft-body vehicle simulator can be.

Personal Notes:
Tech Demo 0.3 will NOT work in the Tech Demo 2.0 port and vice versa. This is because the 0.3 version is 32-bit and only works in the CrossOver 15 engine and the 2.0 version is 64-bit.

Overall I have found that the 2.0 version (download here) in the 64-bit port works much better than the 0.3 version-highly recommend using that.

So far these ports do not support the retail version of the game-that's proving to be much harder to port due to higher system requirements.

Special thanks to NRG for compiling the 64-bit Tech Demo 2.0 wrapper engine.

My System Specs:
- OS: MacOS 10.12.3 'Sierra'
- CPU: Intel i5 1.4Ghz (turbo boost to 2.7Ghz)
- RAM: 4GB 1600Mhz DDR3
- Video:    Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536MB (Integrated, Metal supported)
- Disk Space:   700MB (I recommend at least 2GB free-the installed games add nearly 1GB each)

Known Issues:
(0.3):
-Very system intensive (but this is common to PCs and Macs)
-Lags a bit at times and feels like it's about to crash but usually doesn't
-If you try to change the video settings too much the game can crash
-On high video settings with low specs the screen (except for the vehicle windows and brake lights) may show up plain white for a few seconds before going back to normal
-Doesn't save video settings once the game is closed-you have to reset them when launching
-Very small resolution

Installation:
I repeat: Tech Demo 0.3 will NOT work in the 2.0 port and Tech Demo 2.0 will NOT work in the 0.3 port.

I recommend downloading the wrapper using Chrome or Firefox as Mega can crash Safari.

(0.3) When you get to the installer page that asks the installation location, either browse to or type in the path to C:\Program Files , as it may want to install into your User folder, which Wineskin doesn't like.

(2.0) Install normally. Make sure you set the .exe to run to BeamNG.drive.exe, NOT the BeamNG.drive.x86.exe. Wineskin by default will select the first (correct) one so you shouldn't have any problems.

What's New in Version 2.0.1 (See full changelog)

  • 2.0:
