Problem: I cannot receive emails from the Porting Team. (like with the activation email)
If you use a Spam Email account, like 10 Minute Mail, the system may send you a corrupt activation mail.
If you have one of the following email accounts, you cannot receive activation emails or personal messages & other notifications from us,
because of technical difficulties between the email hosters.
Not compatible email accounts so far are:
All AT&T emails:
- @att.net
- @pacbell.net
- @bellsouth.net
- @swbell.net
- @sbcglobal.net
- @snet.net
Belgium emails:
- @yucom.be
- @tiscali.be
- @scarlet.be
We recommend a third party email account, like Google's Gmail for example, they are more compatible with other email software.

Problem: I forgot my login password...
If you forgot your login password and/or username, use the lost password option in the 'sign in' window

Update 2 02/10/2012
updated post with all non-compatible email addresses so far.
Users registered with these email addresses will not be able to receive activation emails, and once manually activated via an admin can also not receive PMs or notifications.
Update 3 04/03/2012
Uses can reply now to this Topic if they don't get the activation email.
Also added a big notice box for all validation users where they can do the following things:
- Resend the Activation Email
- easily find the link to this Topic
Update 4 05/06/2012
validating users can now change their email address if they first sign up with one of the incompatible ones from the list.
AT&T emails are not accepted by the system anymore upon registration.

what's going on today, 3 people in a row...
your's must be the at&t problem (att.net, like the bellsouth emails, see first post)
previous user did not spell his address right
one user before that did most likely end up in a spam folder
so i can rule some system errors out...

Hi, i have resend me the activation key. Everything seems working, but my status is still "Validating". And in the forum there is an alert:
Can you please help me out of this?

Please click the "resend validation" button on the top right when you log in, this should send the email anew.
Check your spam box if you don't see it in your inbox.
What do you get if you click on the big link in the activation email?
A screenshot of the page you're redirected to (and maybe the ones after that page) should help me identify the problem.
If everything fails, i'll activate you manually.

It seems the activation process swaps to a passoword-recovery process.
First i click on "resend activation", i fill out the forms, i get an email with subject: "Password recovery information from The Porting Team".
And then i can recover my password. But this changes not my status.
Thank you

very weird indeed
I've tested the process on your account, and it is as you said.
i've activated your account manually now, and sent you a new password via email
I'll try to sign up with a test account if this still happens, but i've never seen this before that the system confuses password recovery with activation.
Edit: 2 normal signups completed fine without any errors.
If this happens again in the future, we'll investigate
