As porter it makes me very sad to see no reactions. Or negative reactions only ("isn't working for me. ; How do I use this?; link is broken.).
The hide tags are gone, so I suggest a THANKS button on the end of every port. Every user who finds it useful, just needs to click. I think more users will do a click than writing "thanks!" and hit submit. But the button shouldn't be necessary to click, before downloading. I don't want a download statistic, I want a "Thank you" statistic.

So who finds a thanks button useful? Vote!

I wanted to integrate the Thanks button here in our old Board, but it's not working right. (and Korich killed my test Forum...)
When we switch to a new Board later this year there will be a lot of new features that i think everybody should find useful.

From other forums, I know, that a Thanks-Button crate some Thanks-Horny users, which are very unfriendly and only want their "Thanks".

Why do you don't create a voting? I think so the users can thank you without words and the Horny isn't here.^^

Could be useful as a quick way to determine the general satisfaction of the users.... but how is it different than a post or PM that says "OI, IT'S BROKEN."?

I'm only brand new to this forum and I think that what you are doing here is great. Lots of awesome resources, I want to get porting myself! I know that I would appreciate a thanks button if I were doing the wrapper posting..

I cant get in to the wrapper section yet to see if this has been implemented, but yeah.. much better to have a thank you button vs thank you posts. Seen other forums where you end up scrolling 50 pages of thank you posts just to get to some relevant posts. :) Folks will want to express their appreciation for good work and will make the porter feel appreciated for their hard work!

I think thats a great idea. I've seen this on a torrent site, and it really helps - since most people cant be bothered to post a thanks, but will at least hit a thank you button....

Don't see why not. Coming from someone with very little knowledge of the inner workings of forum coding, it doesn't seem that difficult, and it seems like a useful tool for people who want to say thanks without cluttering the post. I've also seem something similar somewhere else and it was popular and very useful.

I would like to see this, it will cut down on pages of spammy 'Thanks' posts, and people who would otherwise just leech are more likely to click it. Some forums combine the 'Thanks' button and the hide tag, so you have to click the 'Thanks' button to see the download links.

Combining this is bad in my opinion, because then the amount of clicked thanks is equal to the amount of downloads.
I do not want a download statistic. I just want to know, how many people my work was worth a click.
