After reporting a post...
1. The text jumped up to 3x what it usually was.
2. The username was listed as iBot
3. There were 35 new messages
4. The screen only lasted 1 second instead of ... 5?
I don't know if this have to do with the fact that I'm browsing a second forum right now, but this is the first time this has happened. Pedantic nitpicking but...

The special board settings must be related to the iBot account itself which seems to come to the front once a post actually gets reported. I see no real error here....
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it always that way? I haven't reported any post in a long time..

I actually have no idea to be honest, but it happened twice today, so I'm sure that something else is wrong other than my computer.

SO if you have no idea if it has always been that way or not, then my explanation should make sense to you.
I'm pretty sure it's just the special settings of the iBot account that confuse you. As long as no forum functions are actually broken I suggest we leave it alone.
