I am finding this site to be far too busy for the eyes, as well as I'm having trouble finding anything! I can't post in most of the forums, and I cant seem to make any app requests. I pretty much can't make any posts anywhere useful. If there is something I'm missing, I've missed it a dozen times then. I feel like things need to be made apparent to the viewers, and not so camo.
For instance, if the user is able to post a new thread in that forum, make the button HUGE and flashy so we can't miss it.
If we cannot post or reply or anything in that specific room, don't inform us with the tiny text at the bottom of the page, put it in BIG, bold letters at the top saying "You can't post new threads, you cant... etc"
Really its just an information issue. Very important info for your users is far too hidden and difficult to find. the things we can/can't do should be clearly labeled so that we arent searching all over the page to figure it out.
Thanks
User Friendliness

you need 3 posts to be able to post in the forums where not able to before 3 posts...all navigation links are on the forum index page by clicking the forum index button under the portingteam banner...there is also quick navigation above the banner for projects, wrappers, engines, and porting tools...these sections also have help topics if you need some assistance...the search feature(next to the forum index button) also narrows down topics if you don't feel like searching through manually...hope this helps and make moving around much easier :)...and welcome to the porting team

There are stickies all over the place explaining what sections do and some small post guidelines (how to make a request, how to post a Game port, etc.), and these stickies are on top of everything.
There are very few sections where a new user cannot post, like the Requests Section for example, but there's always a sticky there explaining why.
Making a post in header sections with subsections is usually not possible (like this one), because the subsections are where the post should go.
Always indicated by a fat red button on top:

We have so much content here that it gets hard to categorize stuff, but we've done our best over the last two years to do that.

There really should be a really big
New Here? Read this first!
that has the basics of basics in an easy to read page... maybe not forum posting, something simpler looking with the very general basics written, and links to the posts that have more info.

Maybe add some links in the "Welcome" pm, or draw the basic lines?

If there is a problem with one of my wrappers, please let me know by posting on the game thread AND by sending me a pm.
If there are no problems, then a little "Thank you!" is always heart-warming!
