Just wondering if spellcheck will eventually be implemented into the site or not. I'm actually a grammar nazi but don't know how to spell....hahahaha....I end up googling definitions of words I'm unsure of the spelling. Not really a big deal, just wondering.

Don't all modern browsers have this built in?

There is also Mac OS X Lion... You could find a few apps or plug-ins for your browser somewhere on the net I'm sure.

I personally use the builtin spellchecker in Firefox (and occasionally in Safari when I use it). I don't know about other browsers, but with those two it works well.

When I have a further doubt, I just fire up Dictionary.app, 3-finger double-tap a word if I'm on Safari or another supported app, or use Launcher.app... Or also Quicksilver has a Dictionary module.
The good thing of those ways is that they work no matter what site you're on, and they're customizable (i.e. you can add words to the builtin spellchecker). I don't think it's a feature a site should offer, but, rather one's OS and programs should. Well, that's just my opinion of course :3
Besides, from my past experience, spellcheckers integrated on forums don't work as well as the application-based ones, and they're really resource consuming, so they usually end up being disabled even when they're available.

ahh...good tidbit of info...I was just use to the spellcheck in the other forum that it seems kind of weird not to have it. It's all good though, I'll go find a Firefox spellcheck plugin in or something of that nature if the lack of it irks me too much.

thanks!

Strange, I thought this was automatic on OS X, systemwide. I'm on snow leopard and in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and even others such as Textedit, spell check is automatic. If it highlights anything with a red line, just ctrl + click it to see suggestions.

It's system wide in most cocoa applications but need to be enabled in each one separately IIRC; Edit -> Spelling and Grammar -> Check Spelling And Grammar while typing.

I think FF and Chrome use their own system independent of the system wide one.
