I haven't really been on the forums here that much so sorry if I didn't put this in the right place. For ports do you think there will ever be a feature on the site where it'll make a template for you and you just add ALL the text yourself?

No, not in the right place, you are right. It's basically the second section in the forum, very hard to miss.

About the template.
This is hard to do, since the system is not laid out for this.
You have custom fields where you can write in stuff like our 'Wrapper Type' and 'Wine Version', where some shot descriptions can be inserted in.
Difficult on longer fields for Port descriptions or installation instructions and everything else for example.
Also the template would need to be complete redesigned to support this, and a few dozens of hooks in the system as well. And only one template could be active, either the Description field template we have now, or the fill-out-the-forms template you have suggested, and not both.
Some people like to write a lot into the description field however.
For now, this copy& paste & fill-out template should be good enough.

Sometime soon (read: as soon as I get the time to work on it), I'll make it so that the above copy&paste template will be automagically pasted in when you're posting a new port.
This ███ will be left blank in sign of protest █████ internet censorship.
