Yeah, that port is defenately a WIP.
To fix the black screen issue, be sure to have only ONE screen connected.
Then go to Documents/My Games/Reckogning
inside there you'll find a "personal.ini" file
Open that file with textedit.
Set screen adapter to 1
set your screen res
set vsync = 0
Then you'll be able to see something.
Mouse movement is not working for me, it's just the same issue i have with my port which i haven't released due to it's not working properly.

Is the mouse working 100%, i mean can you run in a circle and turn around as you like?

Okay, problems. I cannot turn around 180-360 degrees it stops at around 100 degrees when turning right and 200 degrees when turning left. Also you cannot see your character at all even when making his face in the first scenes (Character Customisation). When I first started playing I could not see my character but I could run. Also there are many texture issues with things jumping around.

I've made one where I can turn 180° each way, but that is also very limiting

Can you please tell me the proper phrasing for this issue? Is it screen tearing?

tearing is when top and bottom of screen is a bit out of sync.
The main issue here is mouse tho, I'm pretty sure textures can be fixed, but mouse can't. Remember to report mouse issue too.
If he got mouse to work on his machine I'm really interested in how.

Personally, I don't find the mouse to be a problem that makes it unplayable, i can live with that, but the textures are all going mad

This is what it looks like
I am uploading a better version. But every time I play the gameplay changes. For instance, this time I could turn around 360 degrees.

Oh and BTW, I am not playing this off of steam but off installation from disk
