In our efforts to reach more people and extend our community, we have recently created a new YouTube account which will host entertaining gameplay vids of Cider and CX ported games in order to demonstrate the quality of our work….

This account is for enterainment purposes only - here we will upload gameplay recordings as well as other awesome Mac gaming related stuff.

The channel was founded by djblastyfone and myself - anyone who feels the urge to present his work to the public can request an upload of his video onto this account.

Porting Team members can request the channel pass via PM if they want.

Video requirements:
The MacOS X Finder and the dock icon have to be visible at least before and after the game was launched. Recording in window mode is not a requirement but is recommended.
Also please try to keep the lengh of your video under 6 minutes.

Post a reply in this thread if you want to see your video on the Porting Team YouTube channel.

What do you people recommend as the best screen recording software for mac?

I've tried a few different ones but the one that has the best performance and smallest output file size has to be iShowU HD....it's simple to use too! Honestly though, I can't remember the names of the other apps I've tried.

nvm. I figured out that quicktime x does screen recording. It does it quite good. I use it for video editing sometimes (Quicktime 7 Pro is much better for that).

I just posted a new video of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky if anyone is interested in checking it out....it was ported with a custom built WS2 engine....so the 360 mouse issue has been fixed!

Well this is interesting, I just posted a new Jericho video and it seems as though we are no longer bound by the 15 minute imposition. I don't think there is a restriction at all anymore! Thanks YouTube!

Can you import already uploaded videos to the channel?
If so I have gameplay videos from almost everyone of my ports I'd like to add.

This "Only admins or mods post" system is gigantic pain. A 2 minute HD gameplay requires uploading for me like 4 or 5 hours. Im just going to upload them to my channel. PT, your loss. If id be admin, id select users that i trust, and give them the pass.

Have you tried PM'ing him for pass?

Also giving out password to many users could be a problem.
In worst case someone could wreak havoc and edit channel, delete videos and even take over the chan, change password and shame PT.
I don't know if youtube has a function for other users to upload videos on a chan and make admins have to accept videos.

Also If the video is made to a certain port, link it in the ports thread and I'm sure the porter will add it to the main post. I have videos alongside with several of my post, but if someone makes a good video for one of my ports that doesn't have a video, or post more gameplay than I already have, I'll add it to main post alongside with a smiley and a thank you :)

Its not that, i pm'd doc for the pass, but he rejected me.

ofcourse, that why it's a port :D

It would be pointless to have game videos from windows, because they are all over the web already.
We're making mac ports from windows games!
