This option is within Wineskin.app itself, hold Alt/Option and double click the RoN wrapper, this will launch Wineskin....then click on "Set Screen Options" and under "Other Options" select select "Use Mac driver instead of X11"

Same problem for me.... I have installed the game using the above mentioned forum and now I am stuck at the page Jaiv is talking about.  I found a solution using a software but for windows only to downscale and reduce the resolution. How can we do that with Mac Yosemite OS with Wine?? Any help??

Hi DankoB

I tried using Mac Driver instead of DX11 but when I set the option and test run the program it didnt work. When I checked again inside "Set Screen Options" the check box of Mac Driver was unchecked. It kept on unchecking the box with several settings I tried. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

AlwaysOffscreen = enabled needed for the driver.

Hello I have a fix for this. What happens is that Rise of nations has actually a problem with resolution not colors. You need to open wineskin and under "set screen options", select "override" and then select a virtual desktop at 1024x768 (the resolution for which the game was made). Also, you can later change the resolution from inside the game. :)
