StrictDrawOrdering
      |  |   [This option ensures any pending drawing operations are submitted to the driver, but at
      |  |    a significant performance cost. Set to "enabled" to enable.]

That's the only drawback to using it....performance issues...

Yeah, the performance hit completely outweighs the elimination of the flickering.  Fortunately, I'm kind of done with Oblivion for now, after having put 207 hours into this character.  But I'd like to come back to it at some point to play the Shivering Isles.  Does anyone know why the flickering UI is happening and why nothing seems to (really) fix it, not even the "no-flicker" engines?

Hello I've tried the patched engines & unfortunatly I've still have flickering while I'm using opengl.

Currently I'm making port of Populous 3 and using opengl be very nice for 3D accelleration and hacking the resolution of the game.
Thanks.

"Populous The Beginning" is the third not first.

Sigh.  All this time and the UI flicker bug is STILL present.  Oblivion is still unplayable.

Still no way to fix this ?
So sad 3D acceleration & opengl were so great for wineskin. :/

did you try the Sherry 1.9.6 Slice's engine?

Read this:
http://portingteam.c...180#entry105416

PS: Sherry engines  needs also WrapperUpdate5 - 7z archive.
From your download folder unpack 7z archive by 7-zip.app and install by this command:

cp -R ~/Downloads/WrapperUpdate5/* ~/Library/Application\ Support/Wineskin/Wrapper/Wineskin-2.6.2.app/Contents/Frameworks/

Yes, I've tried it.  The latest WineSherry engine not only solves the flickering UI problem in Oblivion and a few other games I've got, it runs them much faster as well.  A resounding "huzzah" to Slice!

I'm not sure if doh123's new Wineskin 2.6.1 update fixes the El Capitan issue with flickering but here's the engine suggested in the post #3

WS9WineStaging1.7.52noflicker: http://www.mediafire...oflicker.tar.7z

Tried this - CouldnĀ“t change to this enginge. So I decided to build a new wrapper, then he says to me that this enginge is corrupted... o.O What I did wrong?
