Any way to get HID devices to work with wine?

Is there a way to get HID devices to work with wine?

I have a playstation3 controller I use for SNES9X. Mac OS has a built-in driver for it. There is also a 3rd party driver for Xbox controllers (which I don't use but thought I'd mention) and various other HID controllers.

I'm going to attempt to use this program to see if at the very least I can get button-mashing games to work. Of course this won't help when you want analog axes to work.

There ought to be a way to shim the two HID libraries as they're both using the same USB HID standard. The Mac-side API is called HID manager while the wine side I think is summarized here:
