Hello,
Could somebody tell me, how to configure my usb joypad with zeroN64 v1.0?
(it' s a standard HID controller based, and it' works perfect with zeroPSX Hybrid for exaple)
Thanx.

I assume you use some type of Controller mapping software like Controllermate or USB Overdrive?
Then you just have to do it like in zeroPSX Hybrid.
Go into the Settings/Options of the Emulator and look for the Keyboard layout.
Then change the Keys to the Buttons your Joystick uses, or simply make another Configuration in Controllermate / USB Overdrive and use the Key that the Emulator is set up for.
I know it's a small PITA, but you only have to do this once :)

No, I don't use USB Overdrive.
I use directly my original playstation joypad with an USB adaptator that works without driver (standard HID)
The problem is when I go in to the ZeroN64 Configure control plugin setting window, and I try to set the imput,.
The application recognize only the keyboard imput and not the joypad buttons.
Ill' try to install USB overdrive and use the oprtion that set the key that the Emulator is set up for.
Thanx for your suggestion! :D

zeroPSX has like all CX(S) Ports no HID support, so i think it's pure coincidence that your Controller buttons works with the buttons i set up for the Emulator.
I also made a tutorial for Controllermate with a XBOX 360 controller.
Check it out here:

How can you get the XBOX 360 controller to work without ControllerMate? Mine keeps getting false input.

Getting it to work with ControllerMate was a real pain, but it worked. Getting it to work with another Keymapper like USB Overdrive is possible, but every analogue Stick isn't working correctly then.

Why do the wine wrappers not play nice with these controllers when other mac applications do?
(I have the Tattiebogle driver installed. I would expect that to give good input).

Wine has no support for other HID input except Mouse & Keyboard, mainly because they have other problems to put some work into i think.
Since Wine comes from Linux, implementing a Joystick HID driver that would work on both linux and mac would be very hard.
They barely support printing from Wine, it works in some applications and not in others.

Hey devilhunter I was wondering if you could post your controllermate file for ZeroN64 so we wouldn't have to go through the trouble of mapping keys.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The xbox 360 controller works fine. You just have to switch to N-rage's input plugin under settings.

Sorry, didn't make one for that yet
I recently got my XBOX 360 controller running again after upgrading to snow (Controllermate didn't work with snow correctly, and only the recent update changed that), so i'll make more of these available for download when i'll mess around with the Emulators...
