i was wondering if controller mate works with the ps3 controller, i messed around with it for a while, got the jist of things, but i opened up a game and well, No response. Damn the ps3 controller for being so damn stubborn!!!. if anyone has a ps3 configuration for controller mate plz post it :P im havin a stroke tryin to get the damn thing to work.

me too. Ive followed tutorials and gotten the mouse to work great and everything works fine, but the problem is that the sensitivity intervals with first person games is far too touchy and I cant figure out a way to make it better. Example: bioshock works great but I have to turn the sensitivity all the way down. turning and looking around is very slow, but it is still hard to aim because gently pushing the thumbstick still moves it too fast to aim accurately. very annoying indeed.

Also on a sidenote, games like oblivion, portal 2, and others have been very weird with the ps3 controller. also bioshock doesnt support it natively either. I found a controller driver out there but it wont install because snow leopard wont nstall the damn .pkg file! so f'ing annoying lol. I may just buy an actual mac/pc controller and only use controllermate for non-first person games.
Now you can run n' tell that... homeboy.

Devilhunter,

Thank you so much for posting the tutorial and config file. It got me going quickly. Controller mate is an awesome program.

So I have been messing around with this for a few days. Your guide everything works perfectly, however.....
I have ported a game called MX Simulator which works perfectly with your Cxz wrapper tool. The controller with controllermate is either on or off. I couldn't get it to work with "progressive" or "pressure sensitive" triggers or controls for that matter.  So I went down and bought a wired controller, same results. I am using Tattlebogies drivers(thank you) and everything works fine in the System Pref pane. I am trying to accomplish rolling on the throttle or damped steering. If I can get the controller working I would like to release the wrapper. This game is the missing link for me to switch over to Mac full time :)
What do you think??

I have a tweaked version of the tattiebogle driver here:

http://www.creativdeveloper.com/?p=103

Made a few changes that should be relevant mainly for fighting game fans: support for many 3rd party controllers (hori, madcatz) and a setting that allows the triggers to be recognized as digital buttons. Only tested with wired controllers, though.

Source included.
