I have a Radio Shack cat # 26-247 Playstation to USB Game Adapter.  No drivers required under Windows or OS X

I've yet to get it working in any wrapper, specifically been aiming at WINE, but how is it in ePSXe both versions and PSX 1.13, using zeroPSX Hybrid it just works ?

I'm hoping to get a better understanding of how this wrapper works to know how it identifies the gamepad.

thanks

Wine has a pretty generic Gamepad driver, which works only with a few Pad Models.
That, coupled with the PS Emulator's marginal support for Gamepads, you may get lucky.
Other Games don't have Joystick support, or they simply rely on searching for HID input drivers in Windows.
