Sorry for digging this thread up from the grave but since it already existed a thread about Titan Quest I wasn't sure if I should start a new thread or what the policy was.

I just remembered this game after realizing that I won't be able to play Diablo 3 when it comes out due to my specs. Bummer. Anyway, has someone been able to make this game work? I tried my hand at porting once ages ago with no avail and haven't really had the guts or energy to try again. Remember seeing some thread on here about someone who managed to make it work except the keyboard? Did they ever fix it?

I've got it working, but very buggy with graphics errors and crashes.
Not playable.

To prevent crashes, you must set the wrapper to use 1 CPU (known issue). About those graphic error, I dont recall any when I last test it (on datadisk) (soo long ago on gentoo linux, wine 1.1.something)

Notices:
Minor or none graphical glitches (depend on luck, must be played in minimal details)
Freezes after cca 30min - threads will corrupt each other)(can be fixed by running on 1CPU (10.6.8 and older).

My verdict:
OSX 10.7 - ORANGE (frequent freezes)
OSX 10.6 - YELLOW (minor to none graphic glitches, must be played on low detail)

Thank you so much for the quick answers and for having a look at it. I'm running 10.6.8 so with that in mind I'd be very willing to give it a try if it's not to much of a hassle for you! I'd love to play this game again and hopefully I won't be to bothered by any glitches. So, if it's not too much work for you, i'd very much like a wrapper!

As I don't have much time these days, I made a testing wrapper. I managed to get rid of graphic glitches by using WS8WineCGX10.3.0 engine (and little bit of tuning), so the game is playable on full details (vsync and AA off). Still the game freezes on Lion after some time. Please test this wrapper on Snow Leopard. It's not clean wrapper (some leftovers from other things), I want to know if it works on SL. if yes, I will cleanup the wrapper and make a full port. Using this wrapper you will loss performance in OSX during playing (reducing effective CPU's to one). Try to play at least for hour, if no freeze, the wrapper works.

The wrapper contains installed (and patched) steam up to date. Just login, and download Titan quest (and Immortal throne optionally). To play Immortal throne, titan quest must be installed, and have to be launched at least once. You can also install them manually (if you have other source like DVD), but you will have to change default executable in wineskin.

known issues:
To get rid of unskippable videos, rename or delete the videos in <path to TQ folder>/Videos to something else.
Name of new character cannot be typed. You will have to type the name somewhere in Mac, CMD+C and CTRL+V into titan quest.

Wow thanks! Been completely swamped at work so haven't had time to check the site to see if you posted anything. Can't get this to work though. Must be doing something wrong.

Then I replaced the titan quest.exe with a cracked one. After that i went into wineskin->advanced and changed the windows exe to the cracked titan quest.exe. Then I try to launch the game but nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong? It's probably something fairly obvious to everyone else but as you might have guessed I'm pretty new to this stuff

I didn't try the retail version of TQ, only steam one. But if I recall correctly from times when we were trying to make it run on linux, the crack is no-go. Do not use crack. Also, try to run the game via "test run" and send the logs if it does not work.

This is without the crack. And I haven't changed anything. I'm thinking I might have the wrong version? What version is the steam one you're using? I tried with version 1.3 (I think that is the latest one) but with no luck.

Ok, now I don't get the LastRunX11.log message anymore but the other log is the same as before. One difference though is that the app seems to launch now at least. Before nothing happened but now it appears down in the dock when I start it up. But I'm not getting any other error message and the game doesn't start up.

Actually, try to reinstall the game in the wrapper for scratch. Also, it would be best if you actually install the game via wineskin instead copying it from another source. The game may be missing some important registry entries.

Anyway, I have managed to set Lion Cpu's down to 1,  but it does not fix the game freezing.  I have bad feeling, it will freeze on Snow Leopard also.
