Just getting started here.... mostly to get a few gems from my past running on my shiny Mac.
I'm too lazy to run virtualization software. :P

My favourite games are the Thief series, in my opinion unmatched for atmosphere and the only old games i come back to. Looking forwards to being part of the community and getting on with some gaming goodness.
Thief was really, really good. I remember playing that with the lights out and skulking my way through the city, blackjacking Hammerites!

I'm also new here because I'm really tired to use bootcamp.

It's been awhile since I was on here last, I believe my account was purged (it's been that long!). Long time gamer, converted over to a Mac about 4 years ago, discovered ports about 3 years ago and thought it was really cool. Last time I was on here I was starting to get interested in the porting process, likely will look at the changes since then.
teh.

My name is David and I am wholly new to the Mac and porting so I hope I can learn from here. Since I found on the web ports I have been trying to implement the things that I have read here on Warcraft III and on Bionic Commando. I hope to put them here if ever do manage to get over the DRM on Warcraft III and some problems concerning directx on Bionic Commando. If I would not be able I swear to find a game to port using wine or CXEx provided by you... forgive my rambling hope everyone has a good time

Stumpled upon this forum in a search to get World of Tanks working on my mac. It's great to see people put effort in stuff to help others out.

Thank you to everyone that makes this possible!
Games I am interested in:
Neverwinter Nights
Morrowind
Baldur's Gate II
Hopefully I can play as a female elven archer or sorceress in each.

But over time, my interest dwindled. Went to college, got married, now in grad school, etc.
But a few weeks ago, I had a dream involving the game "Darklands" (my fave in the early 90's), and I realized that I haven't played an RPG in years. I succumbed to an overwhelming urge to play again....
I love my Mac, and it has served me exceedingly well for most purposes. But from what I can tell, if someone wants to be both a Mac user and a gamer, they have to be resourceful. And this site appears to be a splendid resource!

First time poster.
As a former pc gamer I'd love to play some of my old favourites on my mac laptop.
This website looks like the place to go, and I'd love to contribute any way I can.

I'm a new Mac owner and I never thought that windows games would play under OSX.
After a bit of research, I came upon this forum and now I glad and thankeful that you guys exist.
Thanks!

I've always struggled a bit to bother rebooting into Windows and play games there, which means I'm pretty glad to have found this place. I'm currently trying to get a wrapper for Deus Ex... the original one, and need posts! Haha.
Anyway, thanks for all the hard work porting everything.

I've never been much of a gamer, perhaps because of the whole having-a-Mac thing and the never-had-a-video-game-console thing. I do get interested in some specific games every once in a while, though. Can't wait to try out some ports!
Have some good gaming times, everyone.

I'm shocked that a place this cool exists. I'm trying to re-play some of the games I've loved from times past, and that I stupidly left off my new system. So, here mostly for Vampire Bloodlines, but I'll check other stuff out too.
I've been a Mac guy forever, and I'm hoping this place can prevent me from doing a full Bootcamp install and running an entire second copy of Steam. We'll see.
Thanks in advance for all the awesome work.

I'm a from-time-to-time gamer and I'm really here to check out some old school stuff from way back when I still hade the time to fool around with games. Now, with full-time work and two kids there never seems to be time enough...
Keep up the good work!

I'm new the to the board and macs. I got a MBP in 2009 and I'm just learning more about it. I was big into PC's for the longest time and providing support to people and businesses but Macs are a whole new world for me. The new language of terms alone is fun ;). I've played a few games in wrappers but I didn't even know it, I just knew they played on my MBP. However, I'm glad I found this site as its nice to know of a community dedicated to bringing more software/games over from Windows.
So I'd like to thank you for your help in advance and I've already started trying to make my own wrapper or two.....sadly Dead Island wasn't the best starting choice :-p.
