Hi! I tried to port DVDFab 8 (8.0.5.2) on CXZ: all worked fine (I used a DRM free version) except that it doesn't recognize any inserted video DVD. When I select the Video_ts folder of the disc, it isn't loaded. You can try the application with a port or CrossOver with downloading from here: http://uploading.com...Fab8052Beta.zip
I saw that the same issue is present on the DVDFab 7 port of this forum. By the way, I have a 2007 MacBook with 10.6.5.
Thanks a lot, a DVDFab 8 port would be very nice. :)

I'd like to revive this thread despite the lack of activity for 1/2 a year. I'm still getting the same error that pussyplaish had. DVDFab is one of the most frequently updated and reliable rippers out there so I'd really like to use it on my Mac. Note, that I'm getting the same problem with CXEx Chrome and Wineskin. With CXEx Chrome there's an additional problem where the installer does not terminate properly. Both CXEx and Wineskin give me the error "Failed to open D:\. Please check if it is playable." When I'm selecting my Nightmare Before Christmas DVD, I'm navigating to Desktop->My Computer->NIGHTMARE (D:). After selecting the DVD, the error pops up and the rip is canceled.
Has anyone been able to port the latest version of DVDFab HD Decrypter and have it rip successfully? Please let us know how you did it. Thanks!

Wine on OSX doesn't have direct access to the drive, just the folder its mounted to, so I doubt it'll work right.
Its pretty easy to just rip a DVD using Handbrake though... or other native OSX software.
