Just Mess around with the settings. They are a bunch of tips for speeding up the emulator on youtube. Try enabling some Speed Hacks.

The link doesn't seem to work..hmm..

Thanks for all the hard work. I'm quite new to PS2 emulation, but would Gran Turismo 3 or 4 work well with a 2009 Macbook?

Intel Core 2 Duo
2.13 Ghz
4 GB RAM
NVIDIA 9400m

Thanks!

Hey I'm using your PCSX2 PG and it appears to run very well, however, the controls are unresponsive and I can't select the window that the game is playing in. Any ideas on how fix this?

What gamepad plugin are you using? Set the controls before starting the emulation. You can't select the window? It could be that it crashed, even if you can still navigate through the GUI, you WILL need to restart it.

The controls are configured.  I can't navigate through the GUI, the only thing that I can do, once emulation has started, is bring the windows to the foreground.  There is no response from mouse usage or control usage which is, again, configured.  It just sits there and plays the intro of whatever ISO I'm running until I quit.  I have a Macbook with Snow Leopard and an Intel HD3000 Graphics card.  I'm assuming it's a wineskin problem, how would I go about resolving it though?  I just recently updated my wineskin with the latest builds so I'm not sure what I should do.  Thanks for the help.

Thats odd but if I have other pcsx2 ports. If you still want to run that one in particular, just right click it and click "Show Package Contents" and I'm sure you know where to go from there. Just run it in wine or in a wineskin build.

I can't wait to download it. PCSX2 has given me the biggest headache for years!!! I've given up on it so many times in the past and thought all hope was lost. I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that this version will fix all (or at least most) of the problems.

Well be amazed because you can update PCSX2 it to the latest version just by replacing the files :D You can find each Pcsx2 build revision at Emucr.com

So I managed to download and open the file. I set all the plugins to exactly what I see in the screenshot on the first page, and for bios, I'm using the Europe 2.00. Everything is working great except the graphics. I've got weird holes in the graphics. I'm playing FFX.

How do I fix this?

There is a Final Fantasy X fix either on the video plugins settings or on the game fixes section in the PCSX2 Settings. Try that.

Hey, what is the last download you added, I guess it's the firs link in your post ? If yes, then, can you please help me because I can't get DBZ Budokai 3, tenkaichi 2 nor tenkaichi 3 to work (they are mine so I'm pretty sure the ISO is not corrupted), these are PAL versions, but they work perfectly (slowly btw) until I want to start a fight and PCSX2 just freeze during loading :/

I tried lot of configs, but all the "perfect" configs for those games are using Gsdx, so I can't use it on mac (but I guess you already knew this ^^), or at least I don't know how to use Gsdx with OSX.
Default video plugin (Zero Kosmos SSE2) is the best one atm, but still slow game/fps and can't start fights. Sound works well btw, and the PS2 UI is laggy, verry laggy.

Thank you in advance and sorry for the long post :/

No problem but I haven't tried to run any of those games on here. GSdx works on mac. Zero Kosmos SSE2 is the best one. Try messing around with the speed hacks, plugins and game fixes. Visit EmuCR.com and make sure to update your PCSX2 when the latest revision comes out. They also have the latest GSdx updated when it comes out.

Okay thanks but when I launch it using gsdx it just get stuck before anything shows up :/
And Zero Kosmos is strangely slow (average 20fps) when the old xquartz port worked at about 150fps :/ (couldn't start a fight with it though so I gave a try to this version in which I am much more confident because your work looks to be of a good quality ;-) )

I'll mess with setting anyway ;-)

Okay. And There are different GSdx plugins, DX10 doesn't work so don't bother trying that one.

Old stuff :
Spoiler

Hey, some updates. I got sound to be close to perfect (kinda laggy now, but really a little bit, bearable).
I used SPU2-X like this :
Posted Image

Then I corrected graphics a bit, but I got bad news :/ Since everything looked to be great, with really less lags, and game running close to PS2-like, while in fights, everything becomes dark black. And only techniques are visible (like kamehaha's produced light make peoples visible per example)...

I guess this comes form round and clamp mode, bot sat to nearest and none in EE/IOP and VUs, I'll try it differently later.
I got huge imrovements using frameskipping (constant) with 1 and 2 as values, if I use 1 and 3 pcsx2 becomes crazy ^^"
Didn't try any other things at the moment (had finals today, so I was learning stuff etc etc... ^^)

You can still play the game. It will just be really slow..... And good luck finding that. The only way to get KoolSPU2 is to install PCSX2 Extremum. You must have Crossover.... and install it. I guess you can try CX but it won't work in wine.

Okay, and basically, if I succeed to overclock to 3,2Ghz (just 6% of OC), do you think that I would be able to play it ?
