Hello everyone,

It is with deep personal sadness that I share with you that our dear friend and respected forum member MaxWeber was admitted to the hospital last week.  According to a mutual friend, he was found unconscious in his home on Sunday afternoon. As of now, I can tell you his condition is critical and we fear for his life. Although I am not very religious, I urge all to pray for his quick recovery.

My thoughts and sympathy go out to Max's family and friends.

God be with you my dear friend and strengthen your mind and body!

Very sad news. I find it amazing that even without knowing him or anyone else here in real life we can build friendships and bonds that mean tragedies such as this are far more personal than 'just another person'. Working with other people on here, responding to messages, helping people, seeing the joy in filled requests and people learning makes it all worth while doing.

Thoughts and prayers with Max, his family and friends. We hope for a full recovery and you joining us here again for further relationship building, great help, support and teaching from fellow macintoshers.

Dear Game Porting Team Members,

It saddens me to announce the untimely death of our beloved forum member MaxWeber. Early this afternoon he suffered several strokes and passed away. There are no words that I could possibly write to express what I feel right now; this part of life is never easy. I am privileged, like so many others, to say that Max was part of my life. Farewell my dear friend, your dedication and kindness will be greatly missed! And you will remain in my heart, thoughts and soul forever. My deepest condolences go out to Max's family and friends.

I hope to see you in heaven one day!
Jimmy

Oh no...  :(  that is so sad... May Max rest in peace. He was a kind and loving soul, he spoke touching words to all members at all times, never had any negative intentions here. Everything he did here helped us all. Though I never met Max in person I can say on behalf of all members of the iBrain community that he will always be greatly missed and remembered by us all.

Thank you for everything Max, you inspired us all.

I know exactly how you feel guys, I only knew him for a few weeks but I felt like I knew him my whole life. I can't express how deeply saddened I was and still am after I heard the bad news. I literally was in shock for about an hour, I couldn't stop crying and I couldn't find the words to say goodbye on the forum. I was browsing through his old posts and was thinking to myself, how on earth could god allow such thing to happen. This is unbelievable to me because I talked to him on iChat a few hours before he passed out and was taken to the hospital. And there was no indication nor a sign that he was not feeling well, in fact he said he's doing good. The doctors are still clueless what caused his critical condition and later on his untimely demise, but we are waiting for the autopsy report, the cause of death were several unstoppable strokes. They were literally fighting for his life but they couldn't saved him they said, according to my friend even the doctor who was treating Max was crying after explaining to his family and friends how he died. Max was so young, he was only 22 years old when he passed away.

Thank you Max for showing us how beautiful the world can really be. Thank you for being a sustaining and constant source of inspiration for me and all I have introduced you to. There will never be another person come along who will be able to fill your shoes. I just got Max's Game Porting Team Project Folder from his mom, with all his ideas and contests he was planning to have. And I must say my friends I was moved to tears by his creativity. In loving memory to him, I will sponsor and do all the contests he had planned. That's at least I could do!

May he rest in peace and look down on us with a smile.

Miss you buddy!
Jimmy

I know he was planning several more contests. He had such a kind heart I can't believe how this just happened. This just hits me with the thought that we can't waste the time we have because our time may end anywhere, anytime, and without warning what so ever!

Max's respectful kind words have enlightened us all. I will gladly sponsor any contests Max had planned for us all. And if you find anything he wanted to happen on this site or anything else I could do, please let me know.

Can I ask one of you to write an article about these shocking news and about Max in general? It's the least I can do for now.

Thank you.

maybe people should contribute for writing an article about him and then publish it on the main blog.
I didn't  really know him, meaning that I didn't have a direct or indirect conversation with him, but from what I read in the forum he seemed to be a very kind and dedicated soul. Nobody deserves to die that young - this is just utterly cruel and horrible.

I think if something like that happens life has to go on, but only under the condition that we pay proper tribute to him as a person and to his work...

I completely agree with thedoctor45. Is somebody who spoke to him fairly often (more than others) able to write an article for him? And then in comments we can post our own words to show our respect. It will be posted on the main blog.

Shame on me to look at this post so late  !
I didn't know him but I can say that someone who seemed to love adventure-games so much was certainly a nice person(May be someone who though this type of game is still so rare in gaming world).
I can't pray for him because I'm atheist but he'll remember him forever thanks to its great ports to the passion we all share here to him TO YOU MAX, T-H-A-N-K-S!!!
