My .NET 2.0 Installer is messed up (Bad download). I had the same problem before in CXZ and just went to ~/.winetrickcache and deleted the Installer. Didn't work for WineSkin, and I have reached the conclusion that it uses a different location to cache such things.  But Where? Help!

Oh, and feature request: Clear Winetricks Cache button somewhere...

Go to ~/Library/Caches/winetricks

Perfect Thanks...

BTW shouldn't all of the Winetricks caches be the same to save disk space?

I guess Dan Kegel decided its better where it is now (I agree, much more better this way). The directory changed with new winetricks alpha. If your never gonna use the old winetricks again, you can safely delete the old winetricks cache directory.

Problem is that CXEx seems to still use the old one, oh well...

Also turns out it wasn't the problem this time around. Strangely .NET 2.0 won't install for me if I install it after Installing DirectX 9. I had thought it was a bad download because that had happened to me before...

I think there's an option in CXEx to use winetricks alpha. Hold fn or option while opening the CXEx porter

Winetricks was just updated today, it included a fix for dotnet20

Quote

winetricks-20110312 is now released.

Changes since winetricks-20110111b:

- dotnet20: Fix crash.  This was winehq bug 26349, and was fixed a few
days ago by Austin in winezeug r2414, but had not yet been fixed in
winetricks.org.
- csi6_demo: -q hung on one box, so switch first action to
ControlClick, increase windelay

For bug tracker, mailing lists, and wiki, see
http://winetricks.org

Download url:
http://winetricks.org/winetricks

make sure you update and see if it works

yeah, but it seems to only convert the selected wrapper to the new winetricks, not set it as default.
