Hi everyone,

I just recently installed wineskin in order to run "The Movies" on my Mac.  Everything was working great until the game asked for disk 2 during instillation. I tried ejecting disk 1, but my computer says it cant be ejected as it's in use.  I can't run the game without the other two disks, so can anyone tell me how to fix this?

I'm not super experienced with computer registries and stuff, so a step by step explanation would be much appreciated.

Thanks :)

All you've got to do is create a folder on your desktop, copy and paste the contents of each disc into the folder and then just install from the desktop folder...it shouldn't ask to mount any discs.

Okay, when I copied all the files to a desktop folder, and then opened setup.exe through wineskin, everything worked fine until I got an error message in the middle of the installation of the first disk. It says:
error: -1603 Fatal error during installation. Consult windows installer help (msi.chm) or MSDN for more information

Do you know what i'm doing wrong?

have you put the wrapper in /Applications?

your on 10.5 and something weird is going on with the X server if you got those last couple of messages without using CMD+Q to quit... which is a known issue

the wrapper was labelled "application" but wasn't in the app folder. Just moved it there and am trying it again. I'll let you know if it works.

and yeah, I didn't use CMD+Q to quit, so I don't know...

It would be easier to make a disk image of disk 2 via the disk-utility and to mount it. Then you have disk 1 in the optical drive and disk 2 as emulated cd-drive at the same time. Wineskin should detect both as real cd's, so that is maybe a better solution then copying both in a folder...

Yes, you just need the disk images of them. Wine detects them as cds. Copy-protection would not work with images but installing should be perfectly fine.

Still not working.  First disk is installed, however when the popup comes up and tells me to insert disk 2, even though I have it saved as an image and mounted, it doesn't detect it.  There's no option to choose manually either.  The popup gives me the option to "retry" or "cancel"

If you have 2 CDs, then copy each image/CD into a folder separately and name them 'a' and 'b' (for simplicity). After configuring your wine wrapper, install the game normally and select the setup file in 'a'. When the installer prompts you for the second CD, just change 'a' to 'b' and that should do. Hope it helps :).
