Hey there fellow members and porters, I have tried for the past two days to get zeroN64 running, and without luck. It will show an icon in the dock for a split second the first time I try starting it after rebooting the OS, and then nothing every time following. I've downloaded every CXZ engine, (even though I believe jade is the only one I need), as well as project64 (k) itself in hopes that would work, thegrimreaper (once again not sure if it would help but just to see) and have read every post on this site and searched over the web for someone with a similar issue.

I would be truly grateful to anyone who could give me a little guidance... running osX10.6.7 on a 13" black macbook (2.4GHz intel core 2 duo, w/ 4gb 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM) and whatever the built in video card is... can't remember exactly. Cheers,

Hans

Do any other CXZ ports work for you?
Since you have a bare minimum chip what can be called a GPU, i can't recommend any medium to heavy ports, but you can try this one.

Also got X11 installed?

I am having this exact problem. I am using CXZ engines (Jade, etc.) and my graphics card is an Intel HD 3000, I use a Macbook Pro "13 that has an i5 2.3ghz processor and I have OSX Lion. Is there any way to get the damn app to work?

wow this thing is so old.
I've posted this in 2009, and it wasn't even a CXZ Wrapper back then.

Here is the Project64 wrapped in the newest Wineskin
link

I haven't got a N64 Rom around to test it with now (now where did i put those things...), but it should work; just select 'open ROM' from the File menu in the window and navigate to your ROM.

I have posted quite a lot of Emulators back then (all of which don't work now since snow leopard), an i'll be updating them with Wineskin and post them into the Port Database when i'll find the time.

CXZ doesn't work on Lion.

Hi, I'm trying the provided wrapper on Mountain Lion with the latest XQuartz (i.e. X11) installed, v2.7.4, and I can get Project64k 0.38 working to the point where it gives me an error about the GFX driver I'm using. The problem here is that it doesn't successfully open popup windows, I think, so I can't actually get to the option to change the gfx driver.

When I simply double click on the zeroN64.app, the icon appears in the dock but then nothing else happens.

Thoughts?
thanks in advance

edit: apologies if this question is similar to those above, but i'm just wondering if anything has changed since then!

Your problem is you are on 10.8 - this only works on 10.6 and below - and maybe 10.7.

So either go back to Snow Leo - or try a something else - but it will not work on 10.8

Why not? its a Wineskin based wrapper.
I mean the one posted by DH above. It should work just after updating the wrapper to v2.5.8, which is a simple task.   o.o

Ah that one - never realized there was a winskin one - so yeah it will work - but not unless it is 2.5.8 - for 10.8.2 - I assume without looking at :)
