is there somebody in the world who can port this awesome looking game?
i cant do it myself still trying to port some beginner games (if someone wants to help me it would be great :P) but failing

Discription:
You will use Spore Creature Editor to change your character and exchange with other players to complete your arsenal.

Your role is to save the galaxy from a very strong enemy. You’ll travel across the galaxy to recruit fighters with special abilities. You’ll also collect hundreds of weapons and armor to increase your chances of eliminating Darkspore creatures.
You will provide a cooperative manner with another 3 friends and one in eight competitive players.

In the official EA Forum, community manager MaxisCactus has announced that the official release date for Darkspore will be March 29, 2011 in North America and April 1, 2011 in Europe. Ack, an April Fool's Day release. Maxis must feel pretty confident of their game to fiddle with fire like that. /Snicker. I shall be checking it out, how about you?

It's been pushed back. 1 min google search shows: April 26, 2011 (PC - USA) / April 28, 2011 (PC - UK)

Personally won't be checking it out. It looks boring.

ok sorry for that,
but still it looks awesome.
i like spore :p
and this is a kind of Action RPG spore.
and i dont think i am the only person in the world who likes to play Darkspore.

Won't it be coming officially for Mac as well? Since Spore and well quite a bit of the EA/(original)Maxis games came for Mac too.

can't find anything about that on the official site and also not on the EA site.

It will not. Some time ago I found an official statement, that this unofficial sequel of spore will not be released for mac,
because it is a complete other gametype then spore...
The question is just, why they are not releasing and action rpg for mac, but an evolution-simulator ??
Mac Users cannot/do not want to play action games in their opinion or what???
If that is the image people have from mac users, it is no wonder, that their is only a very small amount of games for mac.

maybe they would make a official port
because all the spores are on mac.
except this one. and this one is (what i think) the most special one of all.

I dont think that we have a great chance to get the official port.
but we could try this.

This is not Spore at all.
It has nothing to do with the real Spore, except from the creature builder.
It has a story and it is an action rpg, so nothing you can compare. Do not know, why they even took the name.
So the argument "all spore games are released for mac" does not count...

No it is not your fault. That is just the way EA is thinking about that.

So since Maxis isn't porting, this can we get one? It comes out tomorrow and the is already an open-beta thats been going on for quite sometime now.

i searched on google for a while
the downloads are there, but the crack isn't made yet....

EDIT: I found several Keygens voor Darkspore,
maybe we could use them, but do we need a No CD crack?

I've managed to successfully install the game with Wine (I purchased it).

Starting the game works great, but after the login screen, when the game loads, it freezes up. The music is still playing and the cursor is still movable.

The beta supposedly worked trough Wine, but it was only tested on Linux.

It would be wonderful if any senior member/leet hackzor could take a look at this. I'll gladly help along the way in any way I can!

If you post your logs, I'll take a look at it. If you're using Wineskin you'll have to run the game in debug mode by choosing Test Run in the Advanced Options. After you close it down it'll ask if you want to view the logs, click yes and copy and paste it to pastebin.com and paste the links here.

i can buy the game now if i want but nowhere for mac....

if you look on the site and go to the part of Buy this game
nowhere to find for mac ....


so hope it will come out later!

That article is also dated about 9 months ago...alot of things can change in that amount of time.

the guy who made the article was probably thinking that it would be ported because spore was.

but if AppDB would rate it Silver,
it is possible?

and the wine version Vhicta used was tried on Linux, maybe it would work different in Mac,
who knows.
